Thank you, how could I forget to patch the game . But seriously, before the the ticket I made (#13496), I used vanilla 1.07. Unfortunately the beta patch 72588 didn't help either. The good news is that yesterday I tried to do the mission goals in a different order and even though the 2 main goals weren't finished (the main bad guy escaped), the game granted Me access to the next mission. So it looks like the problem was tied to the mission script rather then the game executable itself. Either way I'm glad that I'm past this problem. I wonder how will the coming missions work out for me ;)

Sorry for that, I just got a little frustrated because none of the fixes mentioned here on the forum helped me. I made an issue #13496 but the devs can't help either as it seems. It looks like Arma2 is haunted by a rather hard to reproduce bug and a one that is carried over and over from one patch to another and now OA. Don't get Me wrong, I love Arma2 but it enrages Me when I can only look at the dvd case and not play the game because of a FREEZE bug.

Well in my opinion, this rig should run the game (vanilla Arma2) just fine on med-max settings in 1280x1024 :)

Yeah, right. Like I'm going to risk an update failure or stability problems with a bios update, just to run Arma2 :mad:.

This is retarded. It's not the heat people, this game is buggy. Crysis heats up my gfx card to about 85C, arma ~75-80. But Arma2 is the one that freezes. This is the GAME FAULT NOT THE HARDWARE! If you go through the posts here you'll see that there are the same problems over and over again. This app has some serious threading problems in my opinion.

I have the same problem in the same mission. Did an issue #13496 but as it seems, nobody can help me either. Can't get the dumps they asked me, because My game like your freezes and not CRASHES.

Hi, this is My first post here so it paynes me that it has to be a complaint one. I have the polish version (update 1.07) of the game and keep getting strange lock up's. The screen comes to a halt and there is nothing left beside killing the app. The first freez was after several hours of play with nothing extra ordinary happening. But lately I keep getting the crash just after a savegame load when there's a contact with the AI opponents. It's not instantaneous, the skirmish can continue for a minute or so and then... lockup. It's like a deadlock, the task manager shows that the process is running (maybe spinning for mutex :P) but the memory usage is coming to a stall. So this is My sad story. Unfortunately I can't get dump's because it's not a crash :]. P.S. Love the game ;)
