  1. Ohh that's really too bad that none of that worked for you. I also forgot to mention that I changed the drive access mode in BIOS from SATA IDE to AHCI mode (sorry long before I even thought of putting ARMA2 on there) as it's recommended for SSD drives to run in this mode for some of the added features like NCQ and hot swapping capabilities. http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=505&Itemid=38 Not sure if you can change each drive to AHCI individually (your hardware is a lot newer than mine, socket 775 motherboard here) but I had to change all my drives at once including my windows install drive which meant changing some registry settings as per this microsoft article (which I did) or doing a full re-install. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976 Anyway good luck again, that's all I can think of sorry!
  2. Hi warsaw, I was having the exact same problem on my X25-V 40GB until I followed this guide and used the intel SSD tool box software. Seems it's a common SSD problem and nothing to do with the game. Here's a link to the optimization guide: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/3116/tweaktown_s_solid_state_drive_optimization_guide/index5.html And the Intel SSD toolbox: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455 Things I did were: Selected high performance power plan Disabled Indexing Enabled Write Caching and Checked the "Turn off Windows write-cache buffer flushing on the device" setting Disabled Defrag Disabled System Restore Disabled Superfetch Disable Prefetch Ran the System Configeration Tuner and Intel SSD optimizer in the Intel Toolbox software. Hope this is of some use to you.

How to enjoy ArmAII to the fullest

Hey thanks Micheal babies are hard work, now if I could only change a nappy and drive a tank at the same time..... I've played with those guys at http://www.samren.cn/ as well and they're pretty friendly but my Chinese just wasn't up to scratch (damn hard language to learn). Soon we'll have enough people for our own clan!

How to enjoy ArmAII to the fullest

Hey Michael, I'm in China too, Henan province to be exact. I haven't played ARMA2 in a month but when I did I was able to connect to a couple of servers from here with a half decent ping (75-150) there were also some from Hong Kong, Japan and Korea that were no problem to play on. I'm busy with my newborn at the moment but in a month or so (if your still in China) when things have quietened down a bit for me I'd be very interested in playing through some missions online with you. Good luck anyway:)
