Hi guys I am a bit tired of the Manhatten Mission. I have done everything but cannot find the Chedaki leader. I have destroyed the main base camp, searched but could not find him, left the base for 30 minutes, came back and there was an officer in the base which I killed but alas, I cannot search him. Everything else has been done in the mission and I do not want to repeat it again. . . . So, where can I download a saved game for the whole campaign (for similar future issues). Thanks

Thanks. It will certainly help the "none-hardcore" guys who likes these kinds of games. -

Why dont the Bohemia boys dedicate one page in the games manual to tips for guys to optimise their graphics. For instance the Hyper Threading thing. Who the hell thought that could make such a difference? -

Hey guys I disabled Hyperthreading in my Bios and my framerate went from 37 to 42 in the second benchmark test. I have not had time ti play the game again but expect that it will be very playable now. Also XMAN1 thanks for the advice it makes perfect sense. HTT also makes a difference in my other games. Is it therefore safe to assume that HTT should be disabled if you are a gamer mainly?? PS:- What is HTT's use in any case? Lastly I understand AA will make a difference. What exactly is Anastrophic filtering (forgive the spelling) and will it also make a difference? (currently set at x 16). Thanks for all the help guys!! -

Well Myke, thats why I had it done by the guys I bought my PC from 4 months ago. I am only trying to tweak certain settings to try and make this game run faster. Maybe hyperthreading was disabled by the "expert" setting it up hell I dont know. I work 12 hours a day so I dont have time to mess around and experiment like I did last weekend. It is however funny that this is the ONLY game that has all of these problems of all the games on my PC. This game does have more issues than others in general (look at the forums and complaints accross board) it does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out. This is also the game that needs the most "tweaking" to make it work properly. Why cant it just run on any mid level PC? You know why? Because it is some sort of training simulation for the US Army and they though lets optimise it for them (and their Operating Systems/Hanrdware) and then release it as well to the public to make a quick buck without worrying too much about varying hardware etc... Fortunately you guys are here to help the idiots like us. I will try the downloadable single player missions as well thanks. I am sorry for saying it - please do not take offence once again -- THIS GAME HAS ISSUES and I am only trying to sort them out to best suit my gameplay. And hardware is not the only issues. There are tons of glitches but I am not even complaing about them. PPS:- This games optimization sucks. Apparently OA is much better optimized. Quoted from Tom's Hardware and apparently they know a thing or two. PPPPS:- Wil patching the game help with the graphics etc? I am running V1.05. -

Video is set at very high and the resolution to the highest. If I set it down then it is as if the background starts to blur a little and I cant really see enemies beyond a few hundred metres. Remember, my issue here is because I really expected the second card to make a difference of some sort. It made none. You can understand my frustrations etc? -

No offense man but my PC is set up perfectly. The guys over at toms hardware said that ARMA 2 is a badly tuned game when it comes to performance. In any case. All other games runs like a dream including GTA3 on full settings. Now that has got to say something. I am not saying ARMA 2 is bad or anything, I just feel the production crew could have made more effort if I look at the message boards etc....... -

P7P55D PRO Asus Motherboard Thanks It is just that I am a bit tired of messing up a whole weekend in trying to get this bolldy game to run faster. And also a lot of money. New screen card..... oh dear now I need `n new power supply as well........... Oh no, there is no difference... lets try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver 20 times. Lets try older drivers. Lets restart the PC a total of 200 times during this weekend. Maybe I should change my screencards around. No lets change them back...... blablabla Get the idea? -

Let me first ask you this. Apparently you must disable hyperthreading (I have an i7 core 2.8ghz) for better performance. How do I do this? I am very dissapointed in this game due to the following:- 1. I updated my 4890 card with another one making crossfire because ARMA II while not too bad was not quick enough in my opnion -- result was the same FPS (namely 16 in benchmark one and 37 in benchmark 2) How is it possible that another card makes zero difference? I believe I have a reasonable PC so I really feel sorry for the masses who do not. In other games such as Just cause 2 it made a massive difference.. I have:- i7 core 2.8Ghz 2 x ATI 4890 cards wioth DDR5 1 Gig each 8 Gig DDR3 memory Windows 7 (64 bit) 1000 Watt powersupply (85% efficeincy) P5P577D Pro Asus 2. I think that this game is only for multiplayer. As I live in a country with no bandwith it is a pity because it is near impossible to compete with the AI in this game. They have X-rays and kill you no matter what your approach. When prone as you are most of the time you can see nothing while they see through the grass. The campaigns are near impossible. Or reload 5 times until you have perfected every battle....... -
Thanks I do have an i7 core so I will be installing my second card this evening.... cant wait!!! Will do the benchmarking FPS in ARMA before and after..........
