I guess I'm one of those who actually like the futuristic setting. I've played Metal Gear Solid... bring it on. that said, I can't wait til after E3.

I'm also seeing some drop in performance. after about 20min of warfare, framerate dropped down to the single digits, faces disappeared on the soldiers, and some of the buildings/vegetation switched to their low-res textures.

I have a feeling I'm going to be spending quite a bit of time walking around. admiring the detail on the helicopters. then there's the scenery in the back. actually, I wonder if I'll even get to fly at all.

speaking of "hack," there was that six letter code in that background picture found earlier, on six lines. "code." "six lines." "six lines of code." googled that and found out it means "a quick fix." several articles on hacking came up, too. I'd google some more, but I gotta get some sleep.

hey, a good buddy of mine was in the New Zealand Army. was totally cool. used to play AAO all the time (on dial-up!). had to be one of the most patient fellas I've known.

man, I was out of town over the weekend (Seattle, in fact). looks like I missed everything. but yeah, I read the interview at pcgamer's. I think I'll be checking this out. it actually sounds like fun. then again, "co-op" is all I need to hear sometimes.

the aiming dead zone in this is one of the smoothest I've seen. also like the addition of a free look. I even switched it to ALT, like in arma. played online for a bit, gunned down a couple players, got shot a few times in return, then got booted. was probably lagging too much for their server. pretty good stuff, though.

oh, gotcha. as for the cheats, I went into singleplayer, clicked host, and in the missions list, I used the campaign command. looks like it worked.

whoa, more than a month. I take it you didn't back up your saved games folder in your documents? if not, you could just use the endmission/campaign commands.

like this, huh? only available through mods, I'm afraid. however, the AK74U sights look fine. I would just use those or a scoped AK.
