ARMA 2:OA beta patch 75666
MadAsBadgers replied to santafee's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Thanks for the reply Whisper. I tried your suggestion of adding "-exThreads=3" into the target line, however this didn't help. I loaded up a single player mission as well as a multiplayer server mission and in less than 15 minutes I was experiencing "flickering" (textures not rendering instantly and shadows only loading when im 5ft away) and a failure to fully load vehicles and objects at distances of less than 20m. At first, everything runs fine and seems fine. I experienced slight pausing in gameplay after inserting "-exThreads=3" into the shortcut, however the same symptoms i've been experiencing with this issue are still present. I thank you for your assistance and appreciate your help, however it looks like I'm back where I started. Here's hoping this issue is resolved by BIS shortly :) - Badgers -
ARMA 2:OA beta patch 75666
MadAsBadgers replied to santafee's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Hate to say it, this beta didn't really fix any of my issues. I'm still experiencing problems with 1.55, even with a VD of 6k +, i'm still finding that objects and buildings re-render even at distances of 20m, as do textures. As of 1.55, my game has practically become unplayable. Any idea when this issue will be fully resolved? P.S, specs and a full description of the issue I'm having can be found in this post http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1788934&postcount=28 Please feel free to request any further aditional information as needed. I'm kinda new to these forums so sorry if I've missed anything out. - Badgers -
I too am having the exact same problem. Some times I can be in-game for an hour or two, or simply ten minutes before things start disappearing and reappearing. Some times it may be things like hangars or buildings, or like tonight for example.. entire towns/cities when viewed from a distance of less than 100m-200m. Specifications: Windows 7 64-bit 6.1 build 7600 4gb DDR2 1066Mhz RAM ATi RADEON HD4890 1024mb With latest 10.10 drivers Samsung EcoGreen F2 1TB Serial ATA 32mb cache HDD AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+ 3.2Ghz DirectX 11 Graphics settings in-game are usually always set to around normal with some settings such as shadows or terrain textures on high. HDR is set to high and V-sync as well as tripple buffering are enabled as always. I have never previously experienced this issue, and none of my settings have changed. Thanks in advance for any responses. - Badgers

Second Mouse Button bug
MadAsBadgers replied to MadAsBadgers's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
UPDATE: This thread can now be closed, i managed to fix the issue. Running OA with Administrator Priveledges turned on in Windows 7 seems to have solved the issue. -

Second Mouse Button bug

No mate, i only use a keyboard and mouse to play ArmA2/OA. This problem only exists with OA and refuses to go away, I've tried everything I can think of from changing the sensitivities to completely disabling the button itself by removing the button actions in the controls menu, and now I'm completely out of ideas. =Edit= i should also mention, OA was patched up to 1.52 prior to playing after reinstalling. -
Hey guys, sorry if this particular problem has been reported before.. but I'm having a very strange issue with Arrowhead that just won't go away. I'll explain. Whenever I press my second mouse button to aim down the optics or sights of a weapon, or even if I'm sat in a vehicle and simply wish to zoom in closer.. what happens is the camera ends up pulling to the right, as if I'm looking right, or sometimes pulls straight down and looks down at the ground. I've experimented with disabling the second mouse button completely by removing all actions for this button, but the problem persists. Arrowhead has been installed as Combined Operations, and this problem existed previously, but somehow (how i don't know) I managed to fix it, until a recent reinstall of the game, whereupon this particular problem has returned, and I for the life of me cannot seem to fix it. Can anyone familiar with this particular issue help shed some light on this, and maybe provide me with a solution or an answer to just what might be causing this? Thanks in advance. - Badgers P.S I'm 100% sure that this is not a hardware issue, as I've thoroughly tested my mouse in other games since discovering this issue, and as of yet, have not encountered this is any of my other games, including ArmA2 (Both Vanilla and Modded)
