Travis09 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
About 75th/RRC: 75th (Ranger Regiment) Regimental Reconnaissance Company (75th/RRC) is a tactical realism unit aimed at providing a fun but authentic experience through the use of real world military tactics and teamwork in ARMA III. While we are a Tactical Realism Unit, having a good time while playing within a unit is our number one goal. When we're conducting operations or training, Tactics and Immersion go into play. There will always be a time and place to have fun after. As a member of 75th/RRC, you are expected to treat every member with respect and fairness. Be as active as your life allows you to be, personal life will always come first, we understand that and will never force you to choose. What We Do: The unit has three primary tasks: Active Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Direct Action operations. While performing these tasks, the teams can: Infiltrate the objective area by parachute (HALO, HAHO, or static lines), helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft, SCUBA, small boat, foot, or other means. Remain undetected in the vicinity of the objective area. Perform reconnaissance operations employing a full range of night observation device or infrared detection devices. Perform demolition target analysis. Operate small watercraft and inflatable boats while conducting maritime operations. Collect combat information to satisfy priority information requirements and mission-essential elements of information. Perform DZ selection, marking and reception duties. Perform highly selective, limited attacks or ambushes when so tasked. Link up with the main body of the ranger force in the objective area, or escape and evade the enemy in order to return to friendly lines. I literally have no problems with my new setup running ArmA 2 at MAX settings every single thing at the highest setting it can go, EVERY setting. HDR, AA, its all maxed out. View Distance is also 10000 and I get about 28 FPS average, when im moving around in a city. Inland running or flying around about 34 fps average. Im running i5-2500k oc'd to 4.5 GHZ stable and 4gb 1600mhz ram, 6950 2gb flashed to 6970. I also oc'd above the 6970 and oc'd the i5-2500k to a stable 4.7 ghz, the frames see about 3-5 frame increase. Thats all on ArmA 2... OA is a different story, with everything set at that I get better frames but right as im in a town and I move my frames go to 1-4 and it stutters incredibly bad. At standard very high settings its playable moving around but the frames begin again to go down to low levels 7-10. It sucks. ---------- Post added at 04:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:55 PM ---------- Also tested the ArmA 2 max settings with a incredible battle of around 50 Abrams vs 50 T-80's? With about 10 squads on each side battling, frames stayed around 20-22 average.

I can average out 50 FPS on any map, even Zargabad with the standard settings Very high Graphics. When I go into advanced settings and manually set everything very high it stays around 35-40 FPS average, then right when I turn my head around in the city it jumps down to 4-12 fps and on the setting very high graphics it even stays around 40 average when i look around the town, is there some problem with the 6970 2gb and looking around in Zargabad on MAX settings? Its quite frustrating.
