Hello all and thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me. I am creating a mission and I want to have a squad pinned down by waves of enemies. The plan is that the player is the squad that is bringing relief to the pinned down squad. As I understand, respawn doesn't work in single player so I have a big question: How can I make the enemy squads keep respawning after being defeated and keep coming back for more? Here is my temporary solution: I just make all the enemies that will attack the squad in the editor and based on timers and triggers come and attack the squad. I also considered the createunit command, but I would also need help with that if anyone knows about that. I prefer to have a re-spawn script to handle this so that the overhead isn't overloaded with tons of enemies already on the map from the start. Sorry for my ignorance but I really want to make this believable mission. Again, thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

Enemy respawning help***
Gamerboy37 replied to Gamerboy37's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Thanks RazorX, can you give me more details for the addWaypoint. I am going to try this when I get home. Again thanks for the help. -
Dude, I truly appreciate the link you provided. But with the snide remark, you can keep your help to yourself next time. There is a better way to say things. For one I have been searching and simply couldn't find any related topics that addressed my particular problem. So again I reluctantly say thanks for at least providing the link to the proper forum, but you should work on your people skills.

Medevac Module
Gamerboy37 replied to goliath86's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Thanks goliath86!!! This is one of my favorite modules/Addons and I use it in every mission I make. I have a SP mission I'm making now for public consumption that uses it. Thanks again for such a great module! -
Command Hierarchy
Gamerboy37 replied to Falkenhayn's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
I also would like to know the answer to this. Yet I have tried what you did, although you do not need to make a seperate subordinate module for each subordinate unit. For each commander you want you only need one of each (high command/Subordinate) just link all the desired subordinates to that commanders subordinate module. Yet this still doesn't help with your questions, so I am in the same boat as you and need help with this. -
Medevac Module
Gamerboy37 replied to goliath86's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
I have a question. First of all thank you for this mod. You are really awesome! To my question, I think I am doing something wrong. When I request the medevac, the helicipter stops short of my location and when I order the guys in, the helicopter lands where it is. How do I get it to finish the trip to my location and how do I tell it to land or should it automatically do this?
