How to get a chopper to unload troops
JohnRobertvh posted a topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
This one seems a bit tricky. I follow the steps as described in a other tread by creating a get in waypoint, followed by an unload waypoint for the troops and a last move waypoint to get the chopper out of there. The only problem I'm having is that the troops who just disembarked from the chopper also moves to the waypoint I've set for the chopper. I would actually like for the troops to stay were I've dropped them of and only have the chopper move away. Can this be done? I would appreciate help on this one. Thanks -
How to get a chopper to unload troops

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I'm still having problems though. Your explanation of groups linking together which is placed within close proximitiy of each other makes sense as I've noticed that happening. I'm now placing the groups as per your explanation. That however does not solve my issue though. The troops still have a mind of their own and runs of in the direction the chopper is suppose to take of into after unloading the group. The effect I'm achiving is the exact opposite of what I actually want. The chopper stays behind and the group of troops takes off. -
Hi everyone. I would really appreciate some help regarding mission editing. QUESTION 1: When I create a single player mission I cannot seem to get the waypoint icon to display the distance or direction to the objective. When playing a campaign game this icon is visible. The only time this icon becomes visible during the created mission is when the player enters a vehicle, i.e. chopper. See below image. The waypoint icon shows the enemy base as being 613m away. QUESTION 2: The other issue I'm having with created mission is that when I press the corresponding key on my keyboard to highlight all my units to see their relative position on the map nothing happens. See this image. The option to show the waypoint marker at all times has been selected as well. Any help to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John

Help Needed With The Waypoint Icon
JohnRobertvh replied to JohnRobertvh's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
At last. Your advice totally solved the issue. I never realized the editor would automatically give a veteran game to play. I assumed it would also be set to cadet mode as my campaign settings is those of a cadet. Thank you so much. Appreciated.
