New planes for Arma 2
Bullock replied to Bigossi5's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Well not from "Bigossi5" for sure...Could have told you that from the start  BUT, another mod, "Wings of Russia" I think, is working on Antonovs, and they actually release stuff. -
Meh, you are using the shitty addon-auto-updater. Therefore your install description looks ridiculously complicated, what happend to the mainstay of the OFP and ArmA series "put addon in addon folder and youre done".

Oh I can soooo relate. I also miss the days when not every news on the big addon pages was about another "Special Forces Reskin". :D Currently Im busy with my Panzer III & IV, but after that I also want to go SciFi -
Is there any un-binarized example addon?
Bullock replied to Bullock's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
Allright, thanks again to everyone who contacted me. Im now sufficiently supplied with addons and can start to get into modding again after the good old OFP-times :D -
Hey, is there a simple addon (prefarably a tank) thats not binarized and doesnt contain too many complicated extras? I just need something as an example, Im curently completely stuck on severals things after I had to find out ArmA2-addonmaking is very different from OFP-addonmaking

Thanks, but unfortunatly thats not exactly what I needed. I thought of something like that: http://ofp.gamepark.cz/_hosted/brsseb/tutorials/lesson2/lesson2_b.htm (I mean the car in the tutorial not the tutorial itself) A simple addon that will appear in the editor, but is also unbinarized so that I can play around with it. -
3Dsmax ArmA2 modding toolset
Bullock replied to soul_assassin's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : Community Made Utilities
Hey quick question: I have a completly textured vehicle in 3DS Max. Can I export it somehow to O2 WITH the textures intact? They are just a basic layer, no bump maps etc., its basically OFP-niveau. EDIT: DAMN IT, it gives me the "Mesh operation on a Non-mesh object" error. I dont understand, when I export it to .3ds and then Import the .3ds file via Oxygen, I get my model but the textures are lost. But when I use the Toolset the textures would work but the model doesnt.:-( -

O2 crashed after I click on the Buldozer symbol
Bullock replied to Bullock's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : BI TOOLS - TROUBLESHOOTING
Someone else told me to unpack the bin.pbo from the ArmA directory, and put the contents in the ArmAWork/Bin Folder. This helped somewhat, now only the "No entry 'bin.config.cpp voice types" error message is left, but the buldozer works now after clicking on "ok". Just one question left, I imported a high poly model from 3DS MAX, and it didnt appear. So Buldozer has a ooly-limit? -

Alright, SOMETHING changed... I copied the direct link from my ArmA2.exe, and this time I get this: Three different error-messages. http://s1.directupload.net/images/100707/55ycbqn4.jpg
