What do you think off the "future" setting
kohlenhydrat replied to paecmaker's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
yes absolutly hey.. why we don't introduce Battlemechs into Arma III ? i bet we will have them in the future O_O realy .. it's a different if you use just fictional countries or if you use weapons that wouldnt and will never get over a prototype status. -
ok that's a point
-
if BI realy introduce this crappy fictional unites instead of stuff which you find on real world battlefields i dont gonna spent one cent for that game
-
hey bi, are there any new upcoming dlc's(perhapes german/french army?) on the horizent? since PMC the news section got very quiet
-
will we see the 3D Mission Editor which opens when someone press in the arma2 startscreen ctrl+e one day working? or is this great tool one for all death?
-
can you please move this thread in this forum? http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=111295 and tell us if you will give us a 3d mission editor?
-

i would love a offical comment from a BI Dev. about the 3D Mission Editor

Hello, at first sorry for my terrible english, but i hope you get what i wanna say. With the release of Arma2: OA buildings started to get a real new small combat place, but their is no easy, fast and quick way to place NPC unit's in buildings, which is realy sad because it would improve that gameplay and missionmaking in several ways. For this i request the possibility to place unit's in building objects via mission editor, perhapes like in way of this: Open Mission Editor -> Right click on the building which opens the bulding map in a popup (their should be a dropdown menue for selecting the different stages like floor one, floor two, roof), where i can place the NPC units. A building object with units in it, should be marked with a color on the map.

improvment for the missioneditor
kohlenhydrat replied to kohlenhydrat's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS

improvment for the missioneditor
kohlenhydrat replied to kohlenhydrat's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
aeh.. yes.. and thats the reason why i make a suggest for a improvement, because it can be done better. if we go for the "it was designed for, and it does it" - yadayada you would still live in a 8bit videogame world and playing pacman clones. this is a valid improvement that do unit placing mutch mutch more easier than at the moment and it would be nice if BI take that suggest. -

with the building map you would have the possibility to place unit's in specific rooms -

yes, i know that you can do it via script and X step's but this is exactly what i dont wanna and tbh honest, it's not user friendly. It's what we germans call in the open source world "friggeln". I suggest a clean and solid editor solution -
Implement - Arma II battlerecorder
kohlenhydrat replied to cri74's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
that it is, a battlerecorder and(or) freecam mode would help me so mutch to make greate ingame video footage and i think it would be a easy with it to convert sceptic clanmates to play arma, or at least try the demo : ) -

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread
kohlenhydrat replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
my personal view is, DLC is absolutly ok, as long as the price - content is in a good relation. EA DLC's is a very terrible example, because they offer low content for high prices. for me i will buy the BAF DLC and test the content, if it's good i will perhapes buy the next too, if not i don't gonna buy it. Bohemia have now different option for releasing new DLC content: a) monthly abo (get monthly your new free DLC extionsion (missions, weapons, units) for a small monthly fee) b) normal DLC - Modules (pay per Modules) c) DLC collections (pay for a collection of Modules) d) community free content (nice global engine stuff, editor upgrades, new maps) atm moment i'am at work so i cant go in the detail of each of this DLC's i will do it when i come home :> -
