  1. I'm looking to get back into online, realism gaming with Arma. Haven't been in a unit for about a year now, been spending most of my time in the editor making missions and such. What I'm Looking For: A U.S. based realism unit that is (preferably) based on the U.S. Army. What I Bring to the Table: I'm currently serving in the U.S. Army, have been in for a little over two years now, so I do have some real world experience when it comes to how the military works. I also have fairly extensive mission editor knowledge, so I can offer assistance with mission editing/scripting. I have previously been in two realism units, both of which have disbanded, and I have held a leadership position of some sort in each unit.     Those items should be included in the Lingor units and the Lingor Island downloads. Do you have the latest versions?

  5. I just tested this and it worked: 1. Place an OPFOR unit and give it a name of your choice 2. Save the mission 3. Open up the "mission.sqm" file 4. Search for the unit you just placed by it's name and you should see something like this: 5. Where it says vehicle="somename" replace what's between the quotes with "Land_Fregata" 6. Save the mission.sqm and reopen the mission in the editor and it should work
  6. That is odd. I put your code into my own mission and I don't get any duplicate tasks. Are you running with any addons enabled? Also as a side note, in order for the setCurrentTask command to work properly it should be written: player setCurrentTask tskarea1; Update Also check to make sure you are not executing the briefing script twice. That will cause duplicates in the tasks and notes.

    Yes I made sure my sound card was up to date. I just tried running the game a few hours ago and it started fine. I also unpacked the pbo's containing these files and they all played no problem.

    No error message Windows just tells me the program stopped working. Running latest version. No I'm not using addons.     Arrowhead occasional crash?

    I have to keep the game on low settings because my graphics card is crap, short on cash not enough for a good one. But I don't believe that's the issue. The game worked fine before. I do notice that the gray rectangle that shows up with the check boxes before startup takes a while to show up.
  11. Okay I searched but each search brought up more than 100 or so topics. Sometimes when I run Arrowhead it loads the main menu then I get a crash to the desktop. I had this problem once before, but I just rebooted and it loaded just fine. I don't know what could possibly be causing this. Thanks in advance!
  12. Finally got it to work! I played around with the waypoint's position for a while and I got the guy to get reasonably close enough to the table. Thanks so much for all the help! :)
  13. I set up the way point so that once the AI reaches it he begins a walking action. The action activates correctly, but he starts walking in place the same distance from the table. It seems that the AI is aware that something is blocking it's path and will only go around it.
  14. using doMove table, he moves to the table but stands 5 meters behind or in front of it. If I move the waypoint I get the same result. Is there anyway to get the AI to stand directly on where the waypoint is placed?
