ppEffect volumetric fog help!!!

Hi guys, I need some help achieving a very atmospheric "fog" effect that I pulled from a BI campaign mission "delaying the bear". I can get it to work in my mission fine, BUT my issue is it only happens around the players spawn area, but I would like to make it appear all over the island if possible so here's the code; Please take note I am still very much a newb when it comes to scripting so please try to your replies "Homer friendly" as the Simpson's would say :D. BTW I'm executing this at the start of my init.sqf just after executing the briefing. Thanks in advance... -
Which recoil model do you prefer?

I totally agree with you here mate, sound's like something that would keep most parties for/against the new recoil happy. On a side note I also would like to mention that there should be different values on different weapons, for example an MP5 shouldn't have the same recoil/muzzle rise as an AK. maybe just giving different calibers different values would suffice for me personally to save on time/trouble in doing every weapon separate -
Hey guys just a quick question, Does anyone know how to add the picture to the loading screen, like the new single player scenarios do?, I tried messing with the overview.html but with no luck so far. Thanks in advance.

No particular reason other than I cant tell the difference personally between the different sample rates so I thought 32 would suffice, I'll give 128 a go and post results. -

Interesting, Ive been having the same problem but thought is was just me. Tell me does it happen all the time for you? , because for me it seems to happen randomly sometimes it sounds fine and then suddenly it sounds like some one put suppressor on my center speaker speaker. BTW here is my setup; Audio samples at 32, see my Sig for sound card and OS. -

Thanks mate, i can confirm that this works for me :D i went from getting 20 FPS in the OA benchmark to 43!!, even though I get 50 in the arma2 benchmark I can honestly say that OA is a MUCH SMOOTHER experience then Arma 2. So i guess we should spread the word that renaming the .exe enabled SLI for me. It might not work for everyone but its worth a shot to anyone who is getting poor performance. BTW those benchmarks were with the following settings; texture Detail = Very high, all other settings High (including PP), 64 sample rate, View distance 3000, No AA. -

OK gents, Ive come to a conclusion here it is "Operation Arrowhead doesn't support SLI yet" Meaning if you are like me and have a dual GPU card (for example my 9800GX2) then arrowhead is only using 1 where ARMA 2 for me uses both. For me personally regardless of my setting I always get the same FPS from the benchmark (and in game play) with 1 or 2 GPU'S enabled. This explains for me anyways why I see most people who say it has an improved FPS have fast SINGLE GPU cards and most people suffering from poor performance have a DUAL GPU card. Before you ask I have already tried adding the .exe in the nvidia/ATI control panel like the OP says that doesn't seem to help, I'm curious to see if my theory is correct so if your using a dual card switch one of them off via the control panel and then post your results... -
Hello gents, I have a question regarding sprockets download/activation policy, and am wondering if anyone can help (or has a similar concern). I have ordered two copies of OA through sprocket, Now do I have to download both copies of the game separate meaning a 14 GB download tag OR do i only have to download one (7GB) copy of the game and then use the different activation keys (I already have two sent to me) on each PC. Will this work or are the actual game file different ?????? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looking excellent mate, Going to be awesome to have the Aussie's and kiwi's side by side , I will be using this mod and some of the AAW guys work to make my ANZAC campaign (with everyone's permission) but that's a long ways off yet. Thanks for the update Soldier X, In my opinion your units and weapons pack are the highest quality user made addons for Arma 2, with awesome functionality and flawless attention to detail. Just take your time i think i speak for everyone when i say we have no problem waiting for quality like this, (especially when were getting it for for free!!!). On a side note i was wondering if you will be including SASR, and or commando units to the pack, and what things can we expect to see in the mod units, vehicles, weapons, game-play changes e.g at this early stage. Thanks in advance for all the hard work to you and the the AAW team, Spozzi. -
Hey guys I have a problem, I am trying to make an objective along the lines of "gather intelligence" where the player has to grab a bunch of file's (or any object) from a corpse or from a building, but I lack the knowledge of how to do so here's what I need to know; * How to spawn documents inside buildings or on bodies that the player can pick up and what those objects are called (I looked through the editor but cant find any). * How to set a trigger so that when the player has picked it up the trigger will activate. * How to spawn enemies inside buildings and get them to face a certain direction. I have been to the Wiki but it's to overwhelming (although it has helped before), i have no knowledge of sqf or sqs before you ask. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance gents, Spozzi:cool:

Thanks for the help Ghost, exactly what I needed. Now I only need to know how to spawn a person or object inside a building or structure, I know how to do it with way points I just spawn the unit next to the house and get them to enter it with move way-points. and then they just face what ever direction they feel like but I want to spawn them inside the house and then have them face a certain direction, thanks again, Spozzi

Hi guys, I'm a first time poster and I have a dilemma I have created several missions that are complete and run fine, but when ever I complete them and go back to the scenarios menu the check box next to the mission is still empty!!, now I have been to the BI wiki and apparently it's something I have to put in the description.ext that deal's with "keys". Now because I'm still only an amateur I'm confused: have no idea how to actually implement this I just don't understand it. could someone please explain the syntax needed to make this work ???. any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

Hey thanks for the link mate, but i still cant figure it out, could you show me exactly what to type in the description.ext and outro.sqf (BTW this is the first time i've even heard of an outro.sqf). thanks again.
