Operation Titan Stories: The Back end story to the Operation Titan Campagin
42ndaar posted a topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Today i am releasing my First of many missions called Operation Titan stories. These missions will provide realistic combat and gameplay as well as plausible missions (NOT 7 people vs an army). This first mission is a Delta team tasked to record a CSAT airfield while the operation titan campaign wages in Africa. The time is here for you to send your data to command. You will leave your small island under the cover of night, take out the power grid so that CSAT can not intercept the transmission. Then you will move to the new safehouse and await the next mission. This missions includes a respawn. Notes: Try to be stealthed as long as possible. There is some light gear scripted into the mission but best for you to use LEA. Play tactical TF radio will take away your backpack Dependant mods: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19132 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=21912 Mission Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx0fxx56b8uIRVFwZ1dxNk9yVWM/edit?usp=sharing -
Operation Titan Co-Op Campaign-Moved to arma 3
42ndaar posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Hello, i am the operation titan commander, i am pleased to announce that we have moved into ARMA3 with our great campaign Operation Titan. Below you will find our older explanation of how it works and what you do within. Please allow a few days for a full update and change log, however this will give you a basic insight on what we do and all the tactical fun you will find here in operation titan. Operation Titan is an evolving co-op campaign designed from a story that changed based on the mission ran and the decisions of the units playing them. This is different then anything being played to our knowledge and we are proud to invite other ARMA2 groups to play with us here how it works. War Room Day-Plan your mission on our map, coordinate with the other operation titan units if you need air support call for it, if you need infantry support ask one of the ID's or play the mission with just your clan and hope for the best, in any case war room is where you will plan your mission and build your base with a full logistics system. Mission Week-Play your mission and try to complete all objectives tasked to you, but be aware that the civs you kill this week may plant an ied next week, or the information you miss may get another unit ambushed on their mission. Once complete turn in your results and find out how it affect the titan story line. Operation titan uses a points based system to manage vehicles and equipment what will be explained here is how those points work and how they are awarded. Costs: Everything in titan has a points related cost unless other wise stated, Bases roadblocks, boxes, and vehicles all cost points to obtain in game. How you earn points: 1. Monthly allocation- every month your unit is awarded 100 points by the U.S Military to help cover your campaign upkeep 2.Missions- Each titan mission will have a points value associated with it for example one mission may be worth 50 points and the other 100, what mission you choose will be up to you 3.Finding Intel- When your unit finds Intel on the field and reports it you will be awarded additional points based on that Intel (undisclosed until discovered) How you lose points: 1. Casualties-Taking over a acceptable amount of these on a mission will lower the point value you would normally be awarded 2. Killing Civilians 3. Failing the mission- While this will not cause a mission to end if you fail you will lose 80% of that missions points value, Intel will still be awarded as normal (ADDed in update) The Operation deals with war time situations such as terrorism and loss of life. Please understand that our story is graphic and not for everyone. This is to enhance realism and to play with purpose, not to offend or upset anyone. We have a full story line that changes based on the decisions of units playing the game. For more information on what you can buy and what things cost please visit the Titan Armory Operation Titan has been going on for 4 years now and has now open to the general public as we seek new units to fill roles for the Operation. Please ask questions you have, or visit us on Facebook or at operationtitan.us We look forward to moving to ARMA3 thanks to BI and the community and to the units playing titan currently To enlist your unit in Operation Titan Visit the website and click Enlist your unit. Helo wont move after ropes
42ndaar replied to 42ndaar's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
It seems to have something to do with the way points after the WP2, if i only use 1 after it seems to go there but when i use multiple to get it back to base it just hovers? -
So today i made a mission where a helo drops off some troops. Works great, they dismount and continue on their way. The helo however stays there and does nothing even tho is has a way point after the insertion. Any ideas on what im missing? Here is how its laid out WP1:helo setvariable ["fastRopePos", getpos LZ]; helo setvariable ["fastRopeHeight", 15]; helo setvariable ["fastRopeOn", true] WP2:not (helo getvariable "fastRopeOn") WP3: Standard move Invisible helo pad named LZ Thanks in advance ~Daley~

Operation Titan Co-Op Campaign-Moved to arma 3

Today we would like to launch our new website and provide some updates WWW.OperationTitan.com is our brand new site, we are still working on it so bare with us. We would also like to introduce our newest campagin update which adds more realism to our 21 most wanted men in country as well as updated behavior profiles! This makes tracking HVTs more realistic and fun! We have also added over 15 new helmet cam videos to our collection! Thanks to all current and past units that have participated! _____ New update to the Operation Titan Story here! Enjoy!!! ~Daley~ In 2009, Detroit was the location of 2 suicide bombings. Over 4000 people were killed. The group claiming responsibility was the P.L.F (Panthera Liberation Front.). The U.S launched military actions and sent a task-force to deal with the ongoing threat from the P.L.F. After stationing a carrier off shore of the island they launched patrols and raids to find the P.L.F leaders. Late in 2009 the 42nd Air Assault Regiment discovered the leader of the P.L.F was being backed by a rouge ex Russian military general (Zakariov Grannin). After locating Grannin the 42nd attempted to kill him via a helicopter assault seen here After the mishap in Panthera, the general went quiet and his location was unknown. In 2010 the U.S then got involved in a conflict off the coast of Africa where a local warlord was terrorizing the region. The U.N were the firsts ones there, and they were attacked by the warlord calling himself major Aziz This group as a whole were know as DOD (Defenders of Duala). After just a few short months a raid was conducted on Aziz's location killing him inside his base. Among the things found was ledger containing financial information from Grannin. What he was planning was much bigger than the 2 small island terrorist groups we had seen. Mid 2010: With Aziz killed the U.N took over the policing of Duala and the U.S withdrew. However new reports surfaced of a research facility off the adjacent coast of Africa. The small island know as Tropica was home to some advanced research bases. After just a few months the 42nd was able to track down the main weapons lab. Once on the grounds Grannin detonated a small nuclear bomb killing everyone on the island and damaging the aircraft carrier off its coast. He then released a statement claming to have more of the smaller nukes at his disposal. 2011: After the explosion the press and media coverage sky rocketed. Capitalizing on the feud between the U.S and the middle east, Grannin has set him self as a backer to their cause. In the afghan mountains (Clafghan Arma2) the U.S broadened its range of units, now deploying multiple units from the U.S, NATO, U.K, and Canada. After many months the valleys of afghan were clear and the units in what is now known as Operation Titan expanded and went different directions to help eliminate the threats in the middle east as well as track down Grannin. 2012: Moving operations into Tarin Kot and the Kunar region the TaskForce has but a major strangle on the weakening afghan forces, deploying special forces teams to track down and eliminate the HVTs in the command structure of the enemy. Response to the U.S has been mixed with some towns cooperating while others refuse aid and support by the increase in insurgent activity. Nearing the end of 2012 the Russian goverments warn the U.S to cease operations in the middle east and to allow them to deal with Grannin themselves. The U.S declines and continue action against them. A group called the WLF (Western Life Fighters) arise within Tarin Kot and partner up with al'queda releasing this terror video After the showing of this video, the U.S move the TaskFoce into the most northern afghan provenance of Esbekistan. 2013: Operations in the Esbekistan region go regularly, HVTs are captured and U.S suffers minor losses without much resistance for most of the year. In the end of 2013 without warning the Russian government launched a full scale assault on an U.S controlled based cutting off supplyl ines and communications with the rest of the campaign. Forced to move into the region of Reshmann to the east, the U.S is trying to re-balance power and keep the missions end goal to capture or kill Grannin and stabilize the middle east. 2014: Coming soon -
