I don't understand why all the media freak out about everything that comes from wikileaks, most of the time its old news or not even news at all. and the other thing I dont understand is that its all okay now to publish secret papers endangering hundreds of lives. (exposing SOP's) like its cool to hate the goverment or something....

would be nice to see a marksmanrifle with IR laser, so you can see your marksmen are ready to fire. I kinda dislike Thermal Imaging on small caliber weapons too, it has a lot of advantiges but it focuses only on heat radiation of the target and in RL there are enougth situation where glass is more reliable than TI-scopes. in the game these disadvantiges are not well presented. i'd rather stick the good old schmidt&bender ;) (bout the plastics, dont see the problem, canada has green plastics on rifles for years!) -

it is possible, in the AC-130 addon this is seen through the optics of the gunship on every blufor unit/vehicle. already requested it to be a seperate mod and it would work with every NV but no response -

why black weapons? never understood weapon companys chose black over a more natural color, look around, you wont find black anywhere! I understand metal parts having a very dark color but plastic parts can be made in every color easaly tan is always a better camo color than black, even at night, especially in a woodland area. -

I think the ISAF thing is kinda delicate, IMO ISAF wouldnt want a game developer presenting a game with ISAF personell fighting the mother of COIN wars. ISAF is about stability and bringing peace (enforcing only if needed) dont think NATO would give green light for something like that. the heatmap thing I dont know, maybe a screwup, but I do know there is a reason why these fictitious conflicts take part in fictitious countrys. I think BIS should, upgrade the A2 options to OA standards. would make buying OA even more attractive as it adds more options to the old campaigns and scenarios. $ $ $ ;) -

for me the ambient civ module doesn't look to do a whole lot, had that in a mission, drove a patrol from the rasman to revolver an only saw 3 civ men. I only used the greenzone to move! town construction is nice though! -
[OA] Placing IR Strobes on map via Editor

do this but change IR_strobe_marker in a LGB and put that code in the init field of a trigger, group that trigger to the aircraft, place the H called "ir1" on the target. when the plane hits the trigger a LGB will be spawned and detonated on the H. you wont see a bomb falling but when you are far away you would'nt see one when one would have been falling. make sure the aircraft has a waypoint set on careless. you could sync a trigger to the first waypoint of a holding position and activate it by radio A, next waypoint beyond the target and the lgb trigger inbetween. when you do this the aircraft will wait untill you call it in, passes the target, hits the trigger and so on.. play a little with multiple targets and triggers and distances to make ik realistic or just fun. (made a nice carpet bombardment once :)) -

is it possible for you to make a addon giving every blufor unit a flashing strobe when seen through NVoptics? that would be much appreciated by a lot of people! (just seach IRstrobe and see a lot of people be amazed this isnt in the vanilla OA) -

yeah think its a but weird to throw away a very expensive and usefull piece of kit just to get it bomed,especialy because this is a milsim. giving coördinates is way more accurate, stealthy, clear (no more:"confirm marker") and wont get your ass bomed when you drop a strobe. I did some searching and everybody is surprised the strobe isn;t intended to mark yourself in night time operations so everybody involved knows you are one of them. however LurchiDerLurch has a AC-130 script where IR markers are on each unit when seen through optics, might have potential to develop for every NVoptic... -

would be nice if that would be a seperate file so it will be possible to give the BIS models M4/M16s (to many SCARs!) anybody find it wierd that the Mk13 grenade launcher is a primairy weapon? dont see any scenario where that would be usefull. WAT? ;) good luck, since every one really wants realism -
still in basra? thought you guys left. would be nice to see some more airforce personell in the game, TACP, PJ's and so on

that would be nice, have an ICOM dangeling from his armour :) be sure to not make him the generation kill kind of translator, most translators are really motivated and have better aducations than the normal soldier. -

one of the best addons IMO :) real nice with the flashing strobes on friendly troops, wish this could be availabe for all OA units who use FLIR is it possible to let AI cover me with the addon? for example, I am highcommander, the AC-130 subordinate, I call him from the holding position and after he arrives he starts circeling. anybody already making a model for this? thnx! -

had no problem, used laser rangefinder to get 100m and it came off nice, to bad that 200m falls lower since the bullet would still be climbing. (must be a game thing) I love the doctor sight, its better than the original one, clearer image. all the spectre and acog sights should have them, to bad only one (only found one) stock weapon has it.. -

same here, south of zagrabad an way up north in takistan, guess the river makes the difference, I was hoping bis would make a propper Astan map with the river being the lifeline of the country.. -

Big Dawg KS made a very usefull and nice searchlight script for the takistani truck, he sees the need for the Takistani army to use light as they have no NVequipment. he might be able to help... asking never hurts right? -
