Once again i must raise my hat for this awesome community!!! :) Your addaction did the trick more than perfectly! a million thanks to you! I couldn't make it work fluently with the triggers. Although i got it set up pretty well (i think), i noticed it works only about 20% of the time. I couldn't find out what caused the problem so i decided to try your "plan B". at first i thought of addaction aswell but i ditched the idea 'cause i only know very basic scripting and scripting this thing proved to be too hard for me...but today i've learned a dozen of things i can use in the future! Thanks alot! This is why i love this community! -

Yeah i tested that and it does the job! now the trigger excludes the player. Thanks a bunch! Now i'd need a way to identify who activates the trigger and make him play the cricket sound. I'd also need a way to figure out how to activate trigger2 only when trigger1 is activated...so that Trigger2 wont activate without me activating trigger1. a good example for what i'm trying to achieve is, a man is in the woods looking for his friends, but the friends don't not know they're being looked for. So the man shouts "where are you?" and if one of the friends can hear it he'll answer "i'm here!". but if the man doesnt shout at all. why would any of the friends shout "i'm here!". catch my drift? -

Well basicly yes. It would be great if i had even one respond. Possibly if there is multiple units inside that predefined area of activation the nearest unit would be chosen. maybe by using nearestObject? or something -

Thanks for your reply kylania! i've used your website multiple times to solve my problems! this time i'm facing something a bit more complicated! but yeah i'm aware of that solution and it does not help me in this situation. Using that approach means i only have one person who activates the trigger, which is not what i'm looking for. I'll need a way to exclude player from the list of units that activate trigger2. 'cause otherwise the player will activate the trigger immidiately since trigger2 is attached to the player. Then i need a way to identify the blufor soldier that activates the trigger, so that i can make that specific soldier say the cricket sound. complicated i know. -
Hey!!! i've gotta mission i've been working on for awhile now, but now i've stumbled upon a tricky problem. what i'm trying to achieve: by Using the radio trigger, the player can check if there are any friendlies nearby. It is simulated with a "cricket" sound (used by the paras in ww2). So when the player activates the trigger. the trigger plays the cricket sound and checks if there are any friendlies inside the trigger area. if there are friendlies in the area, the trigger plays the cricket sound twice. What i have managed to achieve: Trigger1: A radio trigger that makes the player play the cricket sound using the Say3D command. Trigger2: A trigger that is attached to the player (i plan to use this as the method of checking if friendlies are present inside the trigger area) The problem is that i need a simple way of checking if blufor is present inside trigger2 without the trigger activating from player presence. Then i'll need a way to check what unit is inside trigger2 and then use say3D command to force that specific unit to play the "Cricket" sound. Last i'd want trigger2 to activate only when trigger1 is activated. Sorry, for the complicated explanation, but even thinking of this problem makes my head ache! i've tried many diffrent ways to do this with no luck. Maybe some of you can find a simple way to do this... I would greatly appreciate any help you can give! thanks in advance!

Good job fellas =) enjoying! Merdere river was a bit of a downer tho. I expected better quality, something along the lines of that awesome Omaha V2 you've made ;) at the current state Merdere is a mess, almost unfinished to be honest. In the summer version theres a few places with loads of detail but suddenly you come across a huge open field almost as if the creator forgot to fill those parts. Winter version then again was filled with those ugly pine trees. Maybe i'm nitpicky here, but come on you couldnt modify your awesome trees used in the summer version? i mean how did the beautiful leafy trees turn into those ugly pine trees? and the town in the middle was filled with bugs. buildings in mid air, unwalkable platforms etc. And then theres that huge penis in the SW corner...whats the deal with that? yeah at first i laughed but then i thought of dozens of things you could have placed there instead. Sorry if i sound like a huge whiner but considering the quality of your work in the past i expected a bit more from this map. With all these positive comments here you gonna need a few negatives in there aswell ;) looks like i gotta the buzzkill this time. but after all isnt criticism what makes people work harder and improve =) But one thing i gotta give you credit for. Those Weapons, Sounds and the recoil. Not once have i felt such realistic, powerful kick from a weapon in this game. =) Thank you! Helmut Richtoffen

are you using ACE? 'cause if you're using ACE your player needs to have the parachute ruck/backpack. otherwise he'll fall from the sky like a rock. -

just add a hold waypoint on top of the aircraft and then just use a trigger when u want to make the plane move to the next WP. Worked for me multiple times =) -
Mods...you don't wanna get me started, i'm running 100+ (addons + mods) :D I gotta try and run it with the defaults tomorrow. This is what i got from the RPT: Thanks a bunch for answering buddy! i didn't know that you could check this stuff from the RPT. This will help me alot in the future :jump_clap: EDIT: Sorry i forgot to tell the version. I think I'm Running the latest official patch since i'm a steam user and i don't download patches manually. i'm not sure what is the latest 1.59?

So i've recently been expiriencing this wierd issue where the eyelids of the units are sort of like snapped back. they look like they're glued up. i had some ingame error message telling me something about eyes before but i just pressed ok and didn't mind. Now just lately i noticed the issue with the eyes and remembered the error message, but now i can't reproduce the error message so i can't copy it here. This is very annoying mainly because they look dumb (i'm very nit-picky:rolleyes:) and making cutscenes is a pain in the butt when all you see is those maniac eyes. Also i noticed this problem occurs only with the faces from arma2. OA faces and all other are normal. I appriciate any and all help i can get. altho this isn't a huge issue nor does it make the game unplayable (to others than me :D) i ask you to take me seriously. thank you! here is a picture. Laugh all you want, but try and play a few weeks with those maniacs all over :p: :coop: :tounge::tounge:

the best map ever! so realistic...i love it<3 now that i've walked about every inch of the map i have one problem. the riddle...just need to figure out the language. i got few ideas what it might be, hopefully some of you will figure it out.

i found out by changing my profile face and checking the ARMA2PROFILE file and this is what i got. they seem to work for me atleast. Face01_EP1 Face02_EP1 Face03_EP1 ----> Face20_EP1 hope this is for any help. -

silly question maybe, but how do i turn off the darn thing :D i have a cutscene and when it ends i want the news thingy to dissapear but it just stays there as i run around zargabad =(
