  1. Tested it out more than once...I somehow got to say that I can use it...somehow. The only things bothered me...is it really needed to group every single trigger with a vehicle, to become the trigger executed just by that single vehicle? Isnt there a more common way to do that?

  4. Hello Kylania Thanks for your reply. I am about to built a helicopter training Mission for our Squadron. One part of that Training parcours is to fly through a defined zone which will kill you if you dont leave it early enough (time pressure). But to pass this test its necessry to land (touch the ground) and lift off again to leave that zone. But it´s dificult to check (unless the Instructor is beeing right within the Cockpit) whether the Student Pilot has properly pass the test. I´ve some good piloting skills but unfortunately a noob in scripting... Because of this: if (player == unitName) then { // blah }; This is part of a script (sqf) isn´t it? Or is it pssoible to work within a trigger it self (condition and OnActivation Line? Thanks for your help.. Tarantul_A
  5. Hello guys, I´ve got some special questions about MP related things I´d like to become reallized in my Mission. I was searching the web and the Forum about it, found a couple solutions but at all not those I´d really need. so my questions: 1.) How can I become a trigger gets executed by a certain client only...if this is basically possible. I´d need that for a Textmessage which sould appear for that client only. I´ve tried a playerrelated Syntax like player!=Name:exit But since I am a totally scripting noob, I´ve really no idea how to use that properly. 2.) Is it possible to check whether a Helicopter (any classes) has been touched down on the ground? I´d need that may be to become a hint. Any answers are apreciated...If some questions have already been asked and I havent found them for certain reasons (wrong keyword etc.) so I am sorry. Tarantul_A

    Well actually not that much hard landing is needed to damaged the engine. I tried it out several times before I was starting this threat. Espacially th UH1-H is pretty weak when it comes to "a little harder than usual landing". (Warfare) Thats a good point...rolling Helos (even I dont care Warfare), but I think that the different on depressed areas is not much bigger compared to a Helo with skids since you always need to check the area you want to land. But it would be handy on the one or other based situation. So I would pretty much welcome such a feature.
  8. Hello guys, I have some questions about the Choppers in ArmA2. Why are they so weak? Just a little hit and the engine is shutting down. Just land a little bit too hard (not very much) and you´re no more able to get away. Furthermore, what is about rolling wheels while the chopper (may be UH-60) is still on ground? I think this game should be a simulation? (I know that the focus is on Infantry Simulation, cause this is not a flight sim...but these are just tiny things with a huge effeckt) Weak Choppers: Military used Choppers are actually able to take more hits before getting damaged or its far more possible to make emergency landfings without damaging the engine. That sometime sucks a lot, trying to perform a hot LZ Landing and once you hit the ground the engines shutting down. I think that it is just a Config thing to adjust the max hitpoints aor damage value untill the chopper really gets damaged. No rolling wheels If I am using one of the jets or the C-130, so i am able to taxi to the runway. When I want to do the same with a wheeled chopper like th UH-60 so I dip the nose on ground and get back to the Paragraph above. Why isn´t it possible to taxi while the planes can do this...that somehow makes no sense. Is it possible to enable this in further patches (inc. my above suggestion)?
  9. Thanks for your replies guys, but the reason why was the plants2 folder, I stored it in the wrong directory so the wrp file couldn´t get generated...:j::j: It works now... Advice to all with similar issues, check the binarize log in the addons folder...always helpful :cool: Tarantula
  10. Hey guys, I am sorry about to start a new threat for my problem, but I couldnt find respective threads which match with my issue. I am playing ArmA and ArmA2 a while and wanted to try to create an own Island. The tools and tutorials around here are pretty well and handy, but I´ve aproblem where I absolutely have no explanation for. To make it short. The wrp file always disappears after binarizing. The Story: I used the great Tutorial by Sgt. Ace. Everythings worked as explained there. I setup Visitor and later BinPBO without any trouble. Texture overlays worked perfectly. Within Buldozer everythings worked fine. Nevertheless I am not able to see the island in the editor list, although binPBO was prepared as the tut ecpalins. I noticed that the wrp file disappears after binarizing, so why works everythings fine and ends up with such a stupid error. Please, does anyone has an idea why it is, or better a solution to fix that? Thanks
