  1. Hi guys, I've searched a few threads but nothing seems to answer my question. I'm new to ARMA 2 multi-player, I've only recently started to create mission for myself and sons for some LAN games. I'm a bit of a dab hand at the attack helo variants, so I've been building missions so I can engage various types of ground targets with either myself or my son and I as pilot/gunner combos. I'm familiar with the AI targeting sequence using zoom/uncover target/tab etc; my question is, this doesn't seem to work with a real player. I can't tag targets for my gunner, and he can't uncover them for me as a pilot. Is this possible? I was assuming that if I simply designate a target as pilot or gunner, it would be made obvious to both players. Is this not the case? What is happening is that the gunner will uncover or a target, let's say, a tank; however I can't see that it's been targeted on my screen. And visa versa. Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

    Helicopter ground attack targeting

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. That's kind of the way we were handling it, it just seemed a bit clunky given the sensor package on an AH64. I assumed that this'd be modeled to some extent. Perhaps not. I also found this thread https://dev-heaven.net/issues/16555 and it seems that this is considered a feature rather than an omission. I do agree that the unguided systems should be slaved to the pilots control, it only makes sense. Is anyone aware of any mod that achieves this?
  3. Has anyone got a solution for this? Whilst playing the screen turns a blinding white and flashes...it's like having a spotlight in your face and no amount of turning or adjusting video memory seems to help. I've updated to the latest patch and I'm running on an Radeon HD4870X2 I'd really appreciate some help!
  4. well, I just solved it...sort of anyway. My rig (AMD Quad core with 4870X2, Win XP) simply cannot deal with this game. I tried it on my kids PC, (another AMD quad core but with a 3870X2 on Windows 7) runs it like a treat. Win 7 = good 4870X2 =bad I think this really does deserve a patch from the devs..this is simply a compatibility issue that should have been picked up in testing. Truth be told, I'm really really sick of the shonky quality PC releases of the last few years. A working product, straight out of the box is clearly the exception to the rule these days. If producers and devs spent half the time and energy on quality of product, instead of futile anti-piracy shenanigans, I'm sure that would be reflected in sales. oh well...
  5. Thanks Dude...it helped. Sort of. I'm with Gunter on this one, I'd like to turn HDR off completely..it seems to be borked for ATI cards... If any BIS staff are reading this...any chance for a hotfix? I can pay you in beer :bounce3:
  6. Ack...thanks. I'll give it a shot! :)
  7. thanks...how do I change the HDR setting?

Has this issue been solved? I am having the same problem...on a 3870X2 as well...all drivers are current, no mods being used.
