ARMA 2: OA beta build 84580

This is how i got mine to work: Add this in your shortcut's "Target" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -nosplash -mod=Expansion\Beta;Expansion\Beta\Expansion;@PR -showscripterrors -skipintro -world=empty Change the shortcut's "start in" to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2" Finally create an empty file and rename it and place it in @pr folder found in arma2

ARMA 2: OA beta build 84580

Yes that happens on some servers. the AEF/Big D for example works just fine. The patch seems to have fixed the moon walking except i think objects like crates still slide around a bit. overall awesome work BIS. can't wait for the stable version.

ARMA 2: OA beta build 84580

I'd like to know the answer to that too. been testing it with PR mod and it seems it does but anything official would be great :)
  5. Is it still going to be released by end of august?
  6. You have the editor in your hands right now with arma2, nothing is stopping you from making your own missions. The more PR is contained the better i reckon. many people like myself just want to be able to jump on a server and play PVP with 0 screwing around with custom mods/maps, that's what PR can hopefully achieve :) Dose anyone know if OA:PR server listing will only show PR mod severs like how they have with bf2: PR ? it would be great for the playerbase if it was.. also maybe make sure it only lists servers that have official licences to avoid hacked pr versions from showing which by the looks of it might be on a lot of peoples to-do list :D
  7. I agree with the poster, BIS needs to focus on polishing an already good game which is arma2 then jump the gun and release more eye candy with the same flaws. Since Arma3 is on its way at least there a chance to put extra emphasis on UI and polish the multiplayer aspect of the game with focus on PVP. A large percentage of people would really enjoy a realism based FPS but the the need to fiddle with arma and the almost none existent PVP community really brings it down.

    Will you buy ARMAIII?

Not buying it unless Arma3 is better polished for PVP. I'm not into AI bashing, i find it very boring.

    ArmA3 Wishlist and Ideas

Can we have a defined multiplayer gameplay? something like PR mod for BF2? no need to get rid of the editor, but having a defined multiplayer would help lessen confusion to new players and attract more players to PVP arma3. If its too late to do for Arma3 then a sepcial DLC a few months later would be great.

You can't Play this game Multiplayer.

It wouldn't have broken it in the first place :) Right now he needs to reinstall it and follow a tutorial on how to install all those mods ACE CBA etc etc etc. P.S @Magnum0311 are you using the modified shortcut that six updater provided?
  11. User2010

Maybe if the updated news from UK_forces were to be added to the original post it would be more noticeable.

Not sure if the PR:arma2 mod is going to have its own modified dedicated files like PR:bf, if it does they can easily control it's distribution by only giving it to servers who meet the PR requirements. What people do once they have the dedicated files can't be stopped but just like PR:bf2 you won't get support and you'll have problems getting updated versions.

It's all good, just thought i'd give a heads up :P on the ACE/CBA compatibility issue UKF posted this

Why are we talking about ACE/CBA and compatibility issue again.. isn't that why the last thread was closed?

:o my mistake.. it's just some of the attitude here fits that statement. here's the link for the current PR:bf2 server licence http://www.realitymod.com/forum/licenseapp.php

What a load of rubbish. I won't even bother reading the rest of your post when you start dishing out nonsense like that. ---------- Post added at 01:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:31 PM ---------- I'm sure the PR team are happy that they now have your approval. Thank you.

Comments from some in the arma2 community here and on PR forum does indeed give me this impression.

Even "IF" everything you said were true, at the end of the day no one is forcing you to play it, so how about you move on and continue playing arma2 the way you see fit.

    Project Reality Development

The current arma2 way has failed to bring PVP to the scene so maybe it's time to try something that works.

The overwhelming response in this thread and PR's forums already show a huge interest in it. just how big it will be we'll find out soon enough. Compatibility at the expense of inefficiency due to the risk of current/future compatibility issues isn't worth it. ---------- Post added at 07:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 AM ---------- You're right they do have expectations. Current PR:BF2 server licenses aren't freely distributed, they're are given out in a controlled manner. This is off their site I'm sure the same will apply to PR:arma2
