I'm having a problem hosting domination. I'm trying to use a version that another server has (7th Cav) and it will not work. I copied the file from MPmissionsCache to the Arma 2\MPmissions\ folder and it is detected. However, it will not load correctly. None of the scripting carries over and all players are immune to damage of any kind. Lots of UI and interaction options are missing as well. The main objective doesn't trigger. Is there something I am doing wrong?

So sorry that your eyes took the entire 1/16th of a second to skim past this post. Seriously wtf is wrong with this community? All assholes or what? How about instead of saying "Ugh stop posting, I'm above you" say "This is where you should post, and this might be whats wrong" as in TRY to do something positive with the problem. This community has no social skills from what I've seen so far. Theres trying to be organized and then theres going out of your way to be a dick. Did you not stop and think for a second that maybe trying to help with the situation will make it go away faster than pissing the guy off? Grow up.

Oh really? So which section would this fit into perfectly? Because these are pretty poorly set up forums, imo. My issue actually does fall under this section, multiplayer,user missions, AND the solution to my problem may be that I'm missing addons (which is related to this section) if you want to get technical on me. I can't stand this community sometimes..

yeah I do get that stuff but its definitely missing something else. The domination/zoom in intro doesn't even happen. Something isn't initializing for sure..I keep trying to ask the 7th cav guys but none of them reply on their server :/

You wouldn't be able to copy & paste some vehicle respawn script would you? and explain where to put it. I have next to no coding knowledge of any kind :/

Im guessing thats what the issue is..which sucks because its the only one I've seen that has armor at the start as well as backpacks.

Hi guys, I have a question.. What is wrong if: I copy a Domination map from another server, from the MPmissionsCache to my actual MPmissions folder. I try to run it and although it does work, all of the scripts don't seem to work. All players are invincible, theres barely any UI, and the intro doesn't play (the zoom in to character at base). I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I don't know where else to go with this isssue. I'm planning on running a dedicated server and of course editing the mission.

thanks guys. It works and..it didn't work. I can get domi maps from another server but when I copy it from the cache to the MPmissions folder and then try to host a server, none of the scripts work. I also end up being invincible (can slam a helicopter into a mountain, it blows up and I can jump out of the wreckage with no damage to me) and most of the UI just doesn't work..Is there something I'm forgetting to do? I'm just testing it on my machine, not a dedicated server. Maybe host gets weird powers..

Is there somewhere that I can find an edited version of Domi that has full vehicle respawns, backpacks and land vehicles(including armor) at the START of the map.. I was going to try editing it myself but just looking at all that scripting and such is making me pull my hair out. It is beyond my capabilities or patience. Any help would be nice..

Now I know there is the sticky with guides and such, but to me it really isn't very clear on whats what / where to start (plus some links broken). I bought Arma2 on steam a couple of months ago and basically haven't played it more than 20 minutes. This is because I bought it thinking it'd be awesome for coop. Every single server out there seems to be running a completely unique mod and I never have the files needed. It doesn't help that server/mod names look like just a bunch of numbers and letters, making it hard to know what version/mod it actually is. I tried getting ACE2, that didn't work. I "think" I just downloaded some Domination thing (DomiA2?) I'll see what this does although I have to guess how to install it. My main issue here is that the game is seriously not user friendly, same with most mod pages/posts I see. Its usually "heres the files. go." No install instructions or anything. Can someone kindly point me in the direction to actually be able to get some coop going?

I'm trying to join *any* server. There's no such thing as vanilla Arma2 I guess. You call me ignorant because you think I didn't read your "manuals". 1. Some links just don't work. The Arma2 steam manual link = broken. 2. Your guides skip steps entirely, usually the most important ones. They just assume a mod is already installed and you're connected to a server already. 3. Most mod sites for Arma2 I've been to are literally "Heres the file. Go." No install instructions whatsoever anywhere, even in the FAQ's, which is just retarded. I guess I have to bring this down to a super super simple question: How/Where Do I install Mods so that I can play Coop, and tell me in a step by step way. God.

Thanks for going out of your way to avoid helping me as much as possible. Info for getting multiplayer working properly shouldn't be a cryptic process.
