Yep, just defragged Arma for the first time since install! I know, unthinkable. But only when you know! Used Gamebooster and I think after It said 407 files had been done. It also shuts down unnecessary programs for you to give another performance boost. Very good indeed IMO. Thanks for the advice

Hi all Take out the observation post and the mortars will struggle, that's what I did with the NLAW, fired 2 markers and hit it with the 3rd from inside the FOB, then took 3 guys on foot into the Red "mortar" area on the map (bottom of hill in the trees) wiped them out. Bingo

Don't think the standalone boys/girls will be around for long, IE the Mp is a minefield for new players, and ArmA/2/OA is A big commitment to really get into (god I've got loads to learn) both system wise/ update and what the game involves.

Well you know back to desktop with a windows message saying arma2/oa could not load autosave

No, saved after 1.52 update, but that did happen to saves done prior to 1.52 update but the latest was a windows error message

Tried continuing the campaign in OA (rescuing captives from the mine) and it gave error message and returned to desktop, Booted up the game again and tried to Revert the same mission but it loaded up the first mission !!! Now I can't get back to the place I was. Any ideas?

Mines a X4 925 @2.8 1 x 5770 4gb win7 64 bit with none of the alterations above and the fps is fine, what are you getting ?

Hi all just bought OF Cold War Crisis second hand after foolishly buying Arma II and hoping my 2 year old laptop would run it (it does but on the lowest settings possible) so will soon be buying a new gaming PC was wondering if any of the updates will enhance the joy that is CWC cheers ps: also been playing Dragon Rising on Xbox 360 and find it quite enjoyable (ducks behind nearest cover!)
