I play on everything very high settings, AA normal, 1920x1080, view distance is about 3km. My specs, i7-950, hd5970, 6gb ddr3, arma is installed on an 80gb intel ssd. Periodically, there are some objects that completely fail to load up to full level detail. I was wondering is this common? Is there a trick to fix it or prevent it from happening? examples: @ 4:16 the hummer looks like a cardboard box puQD9VOWUYY @12:25 the gunner in the other humvee m6oFjxqS4_8 @4:58 The other guy looks like a mummy x0nsusbV27s I found that restarting the game usually clears it up, but I wanted to check with you guys to see if there was anything better I could do. I'm on the Manhattan base level, and after hours and hours of driving around I cannot find the arms dealer. Its about 8pm and I think I found his truck in Krastonov(sp). But he is no where to be found. Perhaps because it is night time and he is sleep (or so I'd like to think). My question is; is there anyway to sleep, or fast forward time back to the day so I can catch him making his rounds? I know you can speed time up, but that just seems to turn one minute into a half of minute. I think I have killed all insurgents in the area and the fact that there is nothing to do but sit in the game and wait 3 actual hours until I can finish the level seems kinda crazy. thanks

OMG thanks for the reply! the only other apps I'm running are FRAPS and teamspeak could FRAPS be the culprit here? Has anybody heard of that happening? thank you

I thought you just select it's focal point and the UAV circles around it

you can press pgup and pgdwn to zero your weapon. I think the normal setting is 100m, and thats what the acog will accurately work with, by the numbers you see, but each hash is +100 meters

hey I'm happy they made this game..if you check there is absolutely nothing in this world like it. It is an ambitious project by a small firm... if this were done by EA or Activision..then hell yeah, they have the money to have 100 testers playing night and day...they have 500 people at their studios. A good game is simply a game is one that ouweighs it's flaws in pure fun. I only got to play with my clan for a few minutes yesterday, but as we drove down the street in a Humvee through a middle eastern town, I was wowed again...

yeah it's ashame a phenominal game like this can stay under the radar like this. Perhaps it's a good thing, because I wouldn't want them to change under pressure from the casual audience...money talks!

I pre ordered in store, and he said it should be there tomorrow. He said he only ordered one copy prior to me coming in to reserve it so it is definately on its way hopefully lol but I'm trying to find out if I will have any trouble installing it seeing as though I already have ARMA2..if someone could tell me combined operations is a two dvd set or...that it already detects ARMA2 and skips that install. yeah it's an extra 10 bucks, but I don't want to wait mid july for just the expansion pack

Is there anybody out there who can tell me if there are two seperate discs in the ARMA 2: Combined Operations package? I obviously don't need ARMA2, but the only way I can get it this week is to buy the combined operations pak. I don't want to have to reinstall everything just for the expansion

yeah tried that it doesn't work...It's the same name as my profile on the computer...My full name. I just didn't want to jump online with my real name. I was able to make another profile...but I'm guessing that profile is brand spanking new with no challenges completed

I have an HD5970 with an i7-950 Everything is stock and I got 54fps But from what I hear, it is severely underclocked The foilage still seems to grow right in front of me despite it being installed on a SSD...but I heard this problem can only be solved by installing it to a ram disk...
