first things first:
have you tried deleting your cfg and profile (both found under 'documents')
the game will write them new at next startup.
this is especially recommended if you were running mods (which can alter cfgs).
-
have you installed nvidia gerforce experience?
ArmA2 is one of the supported games, try running it with optimized nvidia settings.
also check clocks on your card while playing and select in nvidia cp under energy options 'prefer maximum performance'
(could be that your card is downclocking while playing).

ye I saw that behaviour rarely on several hours lasting 30 player coop missions with 100s of AI...
usually the 'flush' command fixed it for me (no need to exit and restart).
-
delete your configs and start game new.
cfgs for ArmA2 and OA should match (except the advanced settings for OA).
-
what´s your gfx and os?
try updating to DirectX 11.
-
same old same old :p
as a workaround when it happens again press 'shift' and '-' (minus) simultaneously, then release and type 'flush' to purge video memory.
-
you´re welcome :)
-
you could try copying your DL to another drive and install it from there
-
I don't seem to have anything named user cfg or any file of the sort, did you mean Arma2.cfg ?
ye, that´s the right one respectively Arma2OA.cfg :)
-
first thing I do when troubleshooting is deleting my user cfg (under documents) and let the game write a new one at next startup...
-
well, it is located under appdata, check if you´re looking in the right appdata folder (user).

Question: by changing the fovTop and the fovLeft values will this also change somehow the zoom in capability or the zoom in zoom out still remains the same?thx
I´m always using fovTop 0.9 and fovLeft 1.6 (16:9),
if you go above 1.0 for fovTop you get fish eye effect :p
yes, zoom capability remains the same
-
domokun plz? :D
-
why you make a new profile?
anyway, try deleting (or rename) your profile and cfg from documents\ArmA2 folder and start game new
(you´ll have to reset your keybinds and gfx settings if deleted)
-
Wouldn't you naturally move slower when crouched?this,
atm jogging is obsolete :p
-
I recommend logical deduction by Occam´s razor ;)
remove all mods and see if it´s still happening, then reinstall mods one by one until you find the culprit :p
-
so it´s PhysX- related?!
did you try different PhysX- settings in nvidia- CP?
-
HEre's some readings:Core Voltage: 1.008 V
Core Speed: ~800 Mhz
multiplier: x4
Bus Speed: ~200
HT Link:~2000 Mhz
Cache:
L1 Data: 4x64 Kbytes 2 way
L1 Inst: 4x64Kbytes 2 way
Level 2: 4x512 Kbytes 16 way
Level 3: 6 Mbytes 48 way
before you go tinkering with your HW,
did you try deleting your cfg (under 'documents'),
it will be written new by game at next startup
(also because you said your settings are the same after re- DL)

show some love for BIS, white ;)
ye, they tend to be lazy and f..k up things but they always mind to mend it...their whole business is a work in progress :p
-
But my guess it may be due to the Graphics card exceeding its memory, or even ram?ye, might be,
I sometimes get the 'receiving- screen' when alt/tabing or when switching to map and back but the game never minimized or shut down (yet :p)
-
it´s a common problem, dunno what causes it...
press 'shift' and '-' (minus) simultaneously, then release and type 'flush' to purge video memory.
-
stencil shadows are the same since OFP from 2001 in BIS games...
-
He's rightof course,
just liked the expression 'needless entropy' ;)
Arma 2 780 ti horrible performance did better with 660ti

I think your mobo and power supply should be ok...
how is your performance offline in single player?
did you let the game detect your hardware new/ write a new cfg after changing gpu?
it´s always the first thing I do if anything in the game is fucked up, usually things are sorted out afterwards.
(just delete your ArmA2OA cfg, found under 'documents')
