Hi,
As a long term casual player of op Flashpoint/arma/arma2 and now arrowhead I enjoy the realistic sandbox environments and gameplay along with the editing features.
One problem I do have though is with the quality of the AI enemies. I know it must be hard to incorporate realistic enemies and enemy reactions into what
is already a complex game but it can be very frustrating at times.
For example the accuracy of the enemy is overwhelming. When you attempt to shoot a soldier from many hundreds of metres away they turn around and return almost 100% accurate fire killing you instantly. Another annoying habit of the AI enemies is that they just seem to stand around or drop to the ground when fired at and make no attempt to hide or run away.
Apologies if this has been discussed before (point me in the right direction if it has) In some other games like Hells Highway a Bridge to Far, it
is possible to lay down surpressing fire at enemy AI positions keeping their heads down so that you can advance.
Is there any game settings, mods etc that improve the realism of the AI response and brutal accuracy of their return fire from long range or am I being too unrealistic?
Is it just a case of waiting for the AI to improve and look forward to ArmA6 in 10 years time when the technology is such that these issues can be resolved?
