  1. Well, they had the solution back then, in Operation Flashpoint, that was called w-buffer. But that was a hardware feature. With shiny new DirectX 8 (or was that 7) w-buffer became "obsolete" as it could be implemented via mighty vertex shaders. But guess what? Nobody wants to loose frame rate just because of some silly sniper aesthetes like you and me. :rolleyes:
