Hi, I am wondering whether I should play Arma 2 online. I have read a lot about it and it sounds well...daunting. there is so much detail to the game (more so with ACE 2) and It led me to believe this game really does take a lot of dedication. After reading a guide on Shacktac's website I wondered whether it would be for me. It sounds absolutely amazing, the best online experience I have ever read, however does it need additonal time as oppose to Modern Warfare, for example? it is much appreciated if someone could enlighten me further :) Sam

Hi, I know the performance issues I get now is from an outdated proccessor. Spec: 2 x Nvidia Geforce 7950 GT AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 + @ 2.21GHz CROSSHAIR Motherboard 4GB DDR2 BALLISTIX RAM Iv been considering the phenom range..9950 etc. Is this a good choice? Also I read the 9950s had been discontinued? If so, is there any, of the eqiuvalent price range, that meet the same spec. More so, will this be enough power to run the game on normal settings smooothly.

I dont have anti-aliasing activated? So is there a known solution to this problem? Never thought I would say this but i'm starting to hate gaming on pc. All about money now, not quality.

Hi guys, sorry for yet again another problem. This time I am experiencing white flickering pixels, but only on trees. Again, has anybody had this problem? The problem persists with or without SLi enabled. Yeah it was on other things before I changed drivers. I have edited my orginal post with my spec. Yes I am using Nvidia. And no the ones I experience are a little less subtle and do tend to flicker. Hi, just enabled SLI for use with Arma 2 however I get extreme flickering. I have tried: 1. forcing vsync off 2. installing EVGA SLI Fix 3. Changing the name to crysis.exe Nothing working? None of the conventional fixes ever work for me lol Oh and spec: 2 x Geforce 7950 GT AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 + CROSSHAIR Board 4GB DDR2 RAM

No the flickering continues into game. Just tried putting older drivers on again and now they wont recognise vista/7. I am sick of games behaving like this lately. I know it is because there is such a wide range of configurations, but for god sake test the game to death before releasing.

I have the latest drivers...196.xx but no change? should I try older ones?

Hi, Just installed Arma 2 and I've noticed, not so much when running, but when stood still that the player seems to jolt but un naturally. Like jolting forward. This is not fps stutter. Any ideas? Disabling post-process effects solves this. Btw: Windows 7 32 Bit/Vista/XP 2 x Nvidia Gefore 7950 GT AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 + 4GB DDR2 RAM CROSSHAIR Motherboard

Interestingly....when i disable the post-processign effects this graphical problem disappears? oh and. Im not using track IR although un plugging my game pad made no change. Thanks for the replies it is greatly appreciated

Hi, just bought arma 2 and I wondered if anybody could give me their opinion whether to install on vista or windows 7? both 32 -bit. Also, I have 4 GB of ram and both OS can only utilise 3.25 GB. is o.75 GB a big loss? Any replies are greatly appreciated
