    Colour Correction

    Hmmm I still think ebanks129 is right you just make two files and copy them to every mission you make..its real simple (I apologise if you already know this) make a text file, paste this in it rename the text file to this then make another text file, paste this Rename that file to and move both to the directory of your mission, in your arma folder in Documents. That effect look like this http://www.otakubrothers.com/arma2Thirsk07.jpg but you can instead paste this and get a nice sandy look and that looks like this http://www.otakubrothers.com/Arma2sand1.jpg but the one your looking for might be more like this (again paste this in effects.sqf) But like all colour effects there very individual and subject to different Nvidia/Ati settings and monitor, Also you might like to increase your saturation/contrast on your GFX card, as Arma is a bland beast.     Hmm well i've looked at Charon's mod..have ya tried to just load the mod and try and replace the peeps with Charons zombies..that might work...but for the animations thats going to mean taking apart the large mod and Charon is not going to be happy plus I wouldn't do it myself..so try if ya like. ..also having animations and sounds mean this goes against mine and Rommels reason for making it Ie not needing a mod or downloads...making it a easy multiplayer answer....but like you I would like to see then stagger and moan...lol

  5. Yep I even have FPS trouble as I always want more then my rig can give. but i've herd that ATI can do Arma more justice than Nvidia...plus there cheaper too. you may like these vids... Yep Duct-tape and chewing gum!..lol I use Nvidia's saturation/contrast didnt know you could change that in game...as i've been playing with just colour tints in Arma2....(in this test i used a blue tint..its in the mission rar) For my tints I just make a "Effects.SQF" with this in it and call that up in the "init.SQF" here's a more warmer sunset feel tint When it comes to colour/sat/Con its sadly monitor dependent and as such even my pics will look different to me then they look to you...so try playing with your Nvidia/ATI colour settings for a look you like...but yep Arma2 is naturally very desaturated. :(

    Yep I'll like to say that this is my new Favorite map and my clan are doing a campaign using it..and what a beautiful map, Thankyou Raunhofer :) (most of the yellow tint was me wearing my tactical glasses) but yep I change the colour a bit to simulate early morning...maybe a bit too much..lol
  8. hehe not to give you the run around but there is a "Monsters, zombies and so on" Thread...lol but this will do...hehe As to peeps playing Zombie mods i find it's the size that puts alot off...as Charon's mod is very large and I myself don't care but my clan do....so me and Rommel (mostly Rommel) came up with something that was just Scripts (140k) and would run well in multiplayer...but for 140k you dont get the animations or sounds. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=88885&page=71 ---------- Post added at 08:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:49 PM ---------- If anyone can remember that i was asking about a full size Nimitz Aircraft Carrier to be imported from a model...well i think i have found a solution for now..LOL Here's the mission (you will need ACE2 and the F-14 mod) http://www.otakubrothers.com/LARGEASSCARRIER.utes.rar
  9. i wasn't hoping for this to move..so it could be done like Icewindo said and boken up into pieces, i would love to keep the detail...those are cheap..but look...they don't go beyond the one ingame...so no point updating too that, no offence.

  11. Hello Not sure if anyone is working on this..but so far I feel Arma needs a bigger Aircraft carrier, and I'm willing to buy a Hi-Res model for someone/team to convert. I have no idear if this is even posible..from these models/textures.

    looks really nice Icewindo :) cant wait. But what happend to the vid you posted in the thread "Monsters, zombies and so on".....I liked it, shows the Crusades in motion...thought you would of put that here too? PS.@Tobie ..lol classic dude I cant believe anyone would link to that vid of mine....nice :) ..but sadly BIS animals are way too simple and cant be controlled easily...if at all, Any horse mod will have to be a completely new mod.

    @Wiggum If ya want to use this script then you will need ACE2 mod as I never turn that off :) but one can edit the mission.SQM to leave that out. Copy everything in my missions and paste it in yours, plus copy the scripts over from my missions folder to your mission folder. and edit away :) And the songs was from "The Thing" OST by Ennio Morricone. @Icewindo Really glad ya like it, seems to work well.......also love your stargate vids :) plus the medieval dudes!....Nice stuff :) But yep your right I love the fact its simple, I also like Charons mod but that's too heavy for some to download...and plus my Clans not going to upload that to the server just for some fun with zombies...so hence me asking for Rommel's help.     Thanks...its Very early days..ie the Zombies go through buildings and such and in some cases they don't move or do anything...but yes its a fun small script that shows what can be done. PS, So far it seems the Zombies prefer and work better in some daylight, not pitch black :)

    Here are some very simple tests of a pure Script Zombie mod..no need for downloading anything..just need ACE2 to open the missions in the editor. or SP/MP. The Zombie Script was made by the ACE developer "Rommel" he also helped with many of my fog and colour scripts, big thanks to him for all the help :) http://www.otakubrothers.com/testmissions.rar Here's a mission Rommel made using his Zombie Script, for the AAF+VMA guys. eVi0XsVo_dg (about 150 Zombies were used in that mission...in the RAR there are missions that have over 800 Zombies, so just delete some if it starts to slow down) PS. The mission "survival2.Chernarus" is the newest version of the script..but all these are pure tests for a larger CooP mission using the map Namalsk. (still working on that...as that will need lots of mods and my own sound PBO) And yes this script works well for multiplayer games.

    Yep I concur with that... My goal is to make large single player missions (For high end PC's) not multiplayer, at best I will add the posabilities for a Coop game, but nothing more. As I see it the idear of Zombies doesn't lend itself very well to the DoM type game, ie, peeps joining and such half way through the mission.....plus the problems it will throw up. Any Zombie mod I'm gonna play, is with the lights turn off, bass way high, and spliff on the go :) ....As I want to scare my self silly!!! :D

    Thanks Mike:) But im sure you saw the probs, Peds are unchanged, they prefer walking in lines, they cant hurt anything, cant respawn, or have unique animations :( So with Charon's mod coming soon-ish..I think I'll step aside, before I embarrass myself, as that looks really really good!!!....(drooling) Plus he's fixed alot of problems I see myself not being able to do :( And I've read on another forum that someone else is also working on a Zombie mod...so with all the interest hopefully they can get one sort of working. I should of called mine "A failed attempt at a zombie mod" lol

    I do hope somebody does finish one as im having script probs myself...damn zombies...lol heres my WIP.....I think having slow and fast zombies works well with thick ground fog...plus they can be spawned in and out as needed...
