    if you get the unconcious menu you need to move your west and east spawn points further apart ive @this is bosnia yeah i foound an example to initiate a script depending on which side the player is. But before I go into that I need help with the spawn selections. if your on west you run revive_init_west or if your on the east side you run revive_init_east Ok so we have to create a respawn_west which is the main spawn point then additional spawn points as defined west_spawn_1 etc. For them to work from the selection menu I have to make sure the respawn names are used in the revive_inti script otherwise I get sent to position lower left of map. How can i make it so that instead of using the spawn names (respawn_west) in the seleciton menu i can use text i.e vehicle depot or forward operations base ? ive tried naming the spawn points as name: spawn_point_1 text: vehicle depot but if i use vehicle depot in the init config it doeesnt work hope that makes sense ---------- Post added at 04:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:51 PM ---------- update @this is bosnia could it be this ? _JIP_respawns = [2,30]; //array no.63 - 0 - off or the number of lives players receive when they join in progress , JIP time after the mission starts do you start on allied then change to east ? if so this may be affecting the number of lives you get when switching sides ?
  3. im creating a multiplayer mission where the player can play east or west (us forces or local militia) and i implemented your revive script which works however opposition militia troops get spawned at the US base. How can you get this working so that no matter what side your on you respawn at the correct base ? I have a respawn_east at one end of the map and a respawn_west marker at the other end of the map thanks

    hey norrin perhaps you or someone could be kind enough to explain how I could get a seperate script working for east and west sides. I can implement this ok for one side but what would i have to do/change to get this working for opposition as well ? im creating a multiplayer where the player can play us forces or local militia. Thanks
  5. dont know if this is mentioned in the 50+ pages but with the latest 1.05 patch I can remove the -winxp parameter and the game runs fine on 8GB of memory with no texture problems. Might want to update the original post (do test it out first though I may have just been lucky)

    so the AI limit is hard coded in the map ? can you recommend a good map with lots of AI ?

    thanks jman i re ran the reinstall on another pc to install game and then the patch and indeed it updated the arma2server file which i then copied back to my original pc and uninstalled the game. Next question how do i place 128 AI into a map ? im setting up a lan server for cti and i wanna get as many ai on as i can :)

    wherew do I find the dedicated windows server file for 1.05 ? my game is patched up to 1.05 yet the arma2server.exe reports as being version 1.04 ?

  10. Hey guys just new to the game and already im getting my feet into modding ! Beofre we start some info : setup: Arma 2 patched to 1.05 CAA1 project Avgani and Afghan Village Razani N Waziristan Ok now I can create maps in Avgani OK but Afghan Village is giving me problems. No matter what I do I can not move the insertions points or objectives etc (depending on type of mission) as they default to being a long way off the map (you cant see this in the editor but when you preview them your way off the map (very top right corner way way off the map) It took so much trouble to get these terrains working and so far all the others Ive been able to create a dam good map but afghan village just doesnt want to play ball. Please help me get my insertion and objective points back into the map !
