  1. Hi, Does anyone know how to solve this problem. I am working on my afghanistan map and have an issue where the colour from the sat image shows on the ground and makes the ground look horrible. It only seems to happen where the colour is light (for example white). I need to get a way so that the sat image doesn't show up at ground level. Anyone got any ideas other than trying to adjust the colour in photoshop on the sat image which will then probably make it look horrible from the air. example: Doesn't seem so bad with the darker colours: Ground level: In the air: Any help with this would be great. Hi, I have been following the simple tutorial at http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA_2_Terrain_Tutorial for setting up my P:\ but I get stuck as I don't get config.ppc but config.bin in p:\ca I have also checked ca.pbo on my old arma 1 cd and that also has config.bin The strange thing is I went through this previously and I don't remember having this happen, I don't have the original setup due to problems I had with my PC and unable to access windows so having to start an Island from scratch with a new windows install. I am using PBOView in Windows 7. I would be grateful for any help with this. Many thanks AB
  3. Hi, Just wanted to share some pics of my Green Zone island I have started and get some ideas about what I should add to it. I need to add compounds and walls etc and was wondering if there are any available I can freely use? I have manged to get the rivers working by using the sea and I think its turned out OK, I will also have a go at seeing if there is anyway I can add irrigation ditches.   7. all, Can someone give a clue as to the whereabouts of the OA trees pbo?   8. Thanks guys, I just get a dos window pop up and vanish with CPBO. New version of PBO View works fine Gnat:) Anyway going to have a play before I get stuck into the island again.
  9. hmmm, just tried it, it opens it but can't see how to extract it.
  10. Help please! :) Would I need to create a folder called Expansion on my P: drive to extract the OA plants etc to? Many thanks Edit: seems its not possible to extract an OA pbo? using PBO View.

  12. looking at it I will probably switch all ground textures and vegitation over to the oa ones so its consistant with the other oa islands, are there poppies in oa?? :)
  13. Should be getting Op Arrowhead tomorrow, will have a play with it and then get back to the map using the objects from it. to time consuming making all the buildings, walls etc i'm afraid :(
  14. it's ok. season is over now, got the trophy last saturday http://boropics.fotopic.net/p64447001.html got a cup final at Wembley this coming saturday though, times are good. When its all over hopefully will have time to get some more work on this if the weather stays how it is. (been working on making the hole in the wall better and doing some variations in size/ shape of holes in different walls).
  15. Progress has slowed down a bit to be honest. Weathers too good to be stuck in front of a pc, plus been celebrating my football team winning the championship. :)

  21. Anybody know how to get rid of these dark shaddows on the surface, I have removed the surface and redone it but it remains, hmm
