Even ladies and gents, having a slight problem thats a tad bit infuriating, though i've been looking for days on an answer to my problem with no luck, still going to search but I figured i'd post here and give it a go I've been having problems left and right trying to get A2:OA MP to work properly for me, I was using a retail copy of A2 and the steam copy of OA for the longest time, and it seems like recently since DayZ blew up, that option ended up becoming unreliable, so the other day I caved and finally bought the steam version of A2, which solved ALL but ONE of my problems. I used to get errors left and right about missing files and keys, which I ran A2 before running OA so I know to do that much, I updated BE and even ran beta patches for both games, no luck...sorry rambling, ANYWAYS point is, im down to ONE last problem. I constantly get an error that says "Common/ca_scripts.pbo are signed on a key not recognized by this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional keys recognized by this server" blah blah the usual. Now my question is, WHAT exactly IS Common/ca_scripts.pbo? Because I've looked EVERYWHERE to see if anyone else has had a similar problem with no luck at all, so I cant really find a fix to a problem no one else seems to have @_@. Any clue people? I've re-installed and ran Both A2 and OA separately multiple times, verified integrity of the files, ran as administrator, no luck whatsoever trying to fix this problem. Im at my wits end.

I had the same exact problem for the longest time, it only recently started happening about 6 or 7 months ago. I too had the retail version of A2 and the steam version of A2:OA, but recently it seems with all this controversy over DayZ its caused a HUGE amount of problems for people that use this same method, I finally cracked and just bought the steam version, which it seems to have fixed a LOT of my problems, though now im just having ONE single error come up thats constantly keeping me from playing any MP games. Right now A2 is $13 on steam so really its not a lot to lose to fix all these problems, though now im gonna be digging around for answers to the one problem i've been having, which im suspecting has to do with BE but that doesnt entirely seem to be the case The error I get constantly now when I join a game is "common/ca_scripts.pbo file are signed on a key not recognized by this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional accepted keys" blah blah, and I get this problem with EVERY server i've ever tried to go on that i've been on in the past plenty of times, except for smaller, less known ones, @_@ so frustrating to be so close to playing my favorite game again, only to be held back by this one problem... EDIT: Problem solved, I just removed above mentioned file and its .psign and now it works So to summarize this, the physical copy of A2 seems to not compile properly, but I read somewhere that you have to make sure the OA files are mixed with the A2 files, so put your OA files inside your bohemia interactive/ Arma 2 Folder or something like that, either that or just buy the steam version like I did which fixed my problems, good luck brah

Really jingle? well i hope this doesnt happen to me...im using the DL link on the six updater from operation reality...hopefully it works..if not then its probably a problem with the 1.05 patch...or they need another ACE update real quick ----------------------------------------------------------- Well...updated...still had the same problem...could not open BMP.P3D.....OH! and i found a new one....^^ i have 2 copies of ACE2....one i did manually when i couldnt get sixupdater to work...and one with six updater (the one i got to work earlier)....so i took the one that i did manually out, and loaded up arma...it just reverted to regular old arma with no ACE in it...so i put it back in and loaded it up again....well ACE loaded but the BMP problem came up...so as you can probably see...im in a bit of a rut here......im stuck with an updated version of ACE and an old version of ACE....and the new one doesnt wanna run no matter what...OH! and when i load up without the manually installed one..it says acex_c_men_usarmy.pbo requires addon ace_c_gear.....which i have BOTH...help please? XD

Hey can anyone help me here? i dunno where else to go but im trying to join a server (just got ACE to work after 3 grueling hours T_T) and when i join i keep getting a box that says "Could not open BMP.P3D" and then i click continue, and it goes into the game, but then it crashes...any ideas? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nvm....found the search function ^^ and found the reason...thx for all those people that allready answered this
