Hi zdavid99, The base has 2 heli factories, is that the helipad? the option to purchase helis and airplanes is greyed out. If I choose the option in map view menu for tasks then click on TEAMS from the menu while being the AI commander I can see what each unit has, money, tanks, bmps, jeeps. On this is an option to respawn. I stood in the depot at Cheregorsk for 10 minutes. Ive destroyed the chedaki base, just a couple of the bases remain on the east coast.

Hi everyone, Ive spent a good couple of weeks trying to be patient and logical with this simulation/game. I think Im close to putting it in the bin - though potentially its quite brilliant. I wont detail the negative points as they are already documented elsewhere, it would be funny if it werent so tragic. Anyway the point of this post is to ask newbie questions and hopefully be guided to the light. Heres my wish list. I am at the NAPA base, light, heavy, factories, barracks and all as per expected. I have sent many units to other commands and own most towns. Ive been playing so long I expect the tanks need refuelled cos they dont seem to want to move around the map now. So where do I buy refuelling trucks, ammo trucks etc. or does AI do this automatically. They dont appear on my list of units to purchase even when stood next to the light factory. Can I move my HQ to a more strategic location. Its a vital requirement of todays mobile land forces as demonstrated during the war with Iraq in 1990. Why cant I purchase helicopters, others seem to be able to do, and crash them mostly. If I travel to captured towns and stand in the depot/main bunker I can only purchase supply trucks. Cant rearm, repair or refuel. Think I could before updating with the latest patch. If I respawn a command will that reset the unit to its start state of vehicles ? My units captured the town that should cause american helicopters and units to roll up but that didnt happen so why not ? Do I have to actually be in the town too ? Theres a bucket load of Russian units at the airfield NW top of map. Why ? I attacked them for a hoot and got hammered.

Hi Zdavid99, Thanks for that information, theres a whole level of command I havent tapped into yet ! I thought it was a bit extreme having such limited assets. >> 1. what mission are you playing? Dogs of War -i assume its DoW since you mentioned T72s. Thats correct >> 2. have you uppgraded to patch 1.05? I think its 1.04 so Will get the patch. I guess there was an option to command High when I first began the DoW which I will go back to.

Hi, Ive trawled the forum for help and tips on how to create a useful amount of troops, vehicles and aircraft. Theres a HQ base, barracks, light and heavy workshop, aircraft factory, tons of money. I use the mouse to select buy units / construction, wait ages for the menu options to actually respond, make a purchase only to be told Ive maxed out with 12 men and 3 T72s, wow. This cant be right. Ive got tons of money and no way to spend it. Tell me please Im not doing it right. Then tell me how to doi right cos I cant figure it.

Oh, thats disappointing, Ill hop in a jeep and do a tourist cruise then. Thanks for the response.

Hi, Ive justed started to explore the scenarios and Im up to Mission 5 War Welcome. I havent got a clue what Im supposed to do. The previous missions were just me in control of 3 guys, here Ive got troops, squads, vehicles and everything. It all appears to be all happening without my intervention so I need to get a grip of it but I dont know where to begin. Any tips on the brakes are really appreciated.
