I hope people still take a look at this thread. This is my specs what can i expect. Cpu:AMD Phenom X3 8600 Toliman 2.3GHz (OCed to 2.7ghz) GPU: XFX HD5830 Memory: Crucial 4gb 1066mhz HDD- 7200rpm I know im going to have a major bottle neck on the cpu but can i at least turn the graphics up to high running 1920x1080

Hopefully soon ill be upgrading to a gtx 460. Just wondering what kind of fps you are getting. PLease list your full specs so i can get a good idea of how fast your system is. Thanks, Shadow

Im tired of not getting the right answers. I just want one simple answer. What is the bottom line computer that will run this game on max settings with out lagging. The reason i ask for the bottom line is then i will know what components to base my new build off of. I will be running 1920x1080@60hz The 3d at max setting and view distance at max. Everything at max!!!!!! What CPU- Bottom line AMD and Intel chip Video card- Bottom line ATI and Nvidia chip Ram- Amount and speed Hard drive- Rpm and cache. I do not plan on building a bottom line computer. I just want to know what will run it on max setting then i will go a little higher then that if my budget will allow it. Ok seeing on how i cant build a computer that will run this game on max settings. Unless we all team up and do a oceans 13 thing at NASA. To jack some major hardware. :alien: What would you suggest for a video card in the $150 range i can go higher if needed. But i think im just gonna wait til AMD releases the new line of cpus, and vga's. Before i drop any major amount of money into a rig. Im running a $50.00 video card right now(Asus 9500gt) and can get 20-25fps average non overclocked. 1920x1080x32 1280x720 (3D) Normal settings Visibility 1600 So with a $150 card i should be ok to run the game on at least high. And the new MOBO im gonna get will support SLI and cross fire. So i can do that if im not to happy with the results. Im on the boarder on which to buy nvidia or ati. I have had a nvidia for ever never have use a ati card. But im willing to try one out just to see what all the hype is about. Yall tell me what you would get?

Thanks all for the info. I already seen the system requirements. I wanted personal experience like i got here!!! Now i know about what i need to build to get decent game play. Wow i really didnt know how bad ass arma 2 was. Well at the end of September i should have my build done and i will post some fps and stuff. But keep it coming i want to see some more rigs and how many fps you are getting!!!!!

I see. This makes sense. So pretty much your saying that Arma 2 is a beast of a game. I already knew that. Arma 2 rocks!!!! Ok this is what i was thinking of building. How do you think this will run the game. AMD quad core overclocked to 4.0ghz or more. 4gb DDR3 1600(OCed to what ever is stable) HD 5770- Might crossfire or upgrade to better card(s) later. And a SSD to run arma 2 and Windows 7 64bit. PS. Im not rich and i didnt want it to seem like i was gonna build a freaking super computer. Let say your playing the most demanding mission. Hardware wise. What would you have to have. Also i will be overclocking everything in my new build. CPU, VGA, and ram. But seeing how you never know what overclock you gonna get. What is the base line stock hardware to run all maxed out.
