Will my PC Run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? System Specifications.

Probably asked a hundred times, but how would a GeForce 9800 GTX run the game? -

My machines always punched above its weight for some reason. Video card it is then, I'll post the exact specs later but I have to go out now. -

Basically I can play Arma2 on low settings, but beyond small firefights it gets so choppy it's distracting. I have 3GB of RAM and a GeForce 8400 graphics card, I'm a bit skint atm and can only improve one or the other, which improvement is likely to bring a greater performance increase, another GB of RAM, or getting a new video card a notch up from the one I currently have? I'm guessing video card, but thought it would be a good idea to check with someone who knows more about computers than me. -
Anybody?

I'm aware there's a rabbit one, any others? I know there's animals on Arma2 but my system isn't quite good enough to run it (not very well anyway).

Soldiers with a middle eastern complexion. If there is already a mod like it then i'd be grateful if somebody could point me in the right direction  -
Except...i have to do the same thing everytime i start the game for some reason.

Just patched the game. Running it on Windows Vista on low video settings. My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce 8400, just downloaded a driver for it but hasn't made a difference. I can see the light from the sun in the sky but the sky itself is just a grey textureless colour. Framerate wise its running fine on low settings but planning on getting another stick of RAM so i can crank it up a little bit. I can remember having a similar problem with the first game once. Edit: Problem solved. Just needed to turn the Video Memory Settings up to very high and bingo i can see the sky :-]

Just a hunch but i'm guessing this is a fairly common problem, had a quick search but couldn't find a solution. Just installed the game and the sky is screwed, the sky is like just grey with no textures anywhere. Anybody else with this issue?

Would a GeForce 8400 GS run this game? I think my system meets the minimum specs but i'm thinking of upgrading my RAM from 2GB to 3GB just to be safe. Im not bothered if i can't play it on high settings or whatever, i lose interest in the campaigns + the games editor is of much greater interest to me. Im thinking performance could be improved further if i downloaded the mod that lets you play maps like Razani and Avgani on ArmA2. Thanks -
Thinking of buying Arma2 but i just want to make sure its going to be an all round more realistic combat experience than the first one. One thing i have noticed in Arma 1 is that the urban areas always seem a little too quiet, especially when making your own missions. Is there a way to get the civilians to 'talk' to each other and some decent ambient background sounds that you can add into your missions? I just want it to feel a little more like im fighting in a town thats inhabited by people rather than a ghost town :)
