why do my buttons look like this?

I don't know what happend with my first post it disappeared. Since i updated from 1.01 to 1.06 i can't use any of the menu buttons with my mouse. i have to use the enter and esc key on my keyboard. Everything worked perfect before that. it looks like this now: I don't have it installed on steam if that makes any difference
