    Whelp, thanks for the steer in the right direction. I used Eliteness to do everything necessary to extract, edit, and recreate the new PBO. Unfortunately, the game crashes completely when I start a map with my units on it. Sigh. BELAY MY LAST! Got it working. I was packing the config.cpp in with the PBO and that was wrenching the gears.

    What I thought was going to be a somewhat easy task has turned out to be a freaking nightmare, mostly because an extensive search of Google, Bing, and the forums has turned up nothing. All I want to do is make a new infantry unit WITHOUT DOING ANY MODELING from an existing, in-game unit. My whole purpose of this is to simply increase the armor and health of the unit so that I can create arcade-style missions. Thus far, everything I've found involves creating new units from absolute scratch and this is far too much work for me to sift through. If I'm completely blind (which I'm thinking I may well be), can anyone point me in the right direction?
