Very glad to see a post in this thread. Can't get it fast enough! Like Now???? Really! :o

lol, Well, we don't exactly run and gun, but when we play till 2 or 3 in the morning, sitting and waiting is not an option. We try to keep everyone busy or several people will "again" have squares from the keyboard imprinted on their foreheads in the morning. Everything worked like a charm today. Even played the Swamp by myself. I did quite well, but met my maker before I completed it. Sneaky son-of-a-guns. Great Job.

Your work is again.....AMAZING! However, I do hate Loserville! :D Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Had a great time with 3 of us playing a couple missions last night. We were unable to try Outpost, Village and Swamp. That was our problem as we didn't get Fastrope yet. I'll be posting that for our guys shortly. ;) When trying Airport, I did have a deleted ibr_plants error keeping me from starting the game. I don't think that is on my end, but then again.....:o All other missions seem to work great, although we just played Fuel and Docks. Let me tell ya, with 3 of us we had to play a bit different than what our run and gun group is used to doing. Hmmmm, brings me back to hating Loserville again. Thanks again for your time and effort you put into these missions. I take your files and learn as much as I can while I try to piece together a mediocre mission for BAR guys. Can't wait for final release. SVO

Feel for ya lightspeed. Your missions have been fantastic. I have no doubt that this setback will allow you to make an even more spectacular gaming experience for those lucky enough to find your missions. And about important files. Your not alone! :o

Devs time for a 64BIT version???
svo replied to Hawk Firestorm's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Interesting Killakaze. I don't overclock usually, but am very aware of the display driver problem. I'll give it a go right now. -
I recently tried WeGame and had good results with videos and screen captures. This is on Win7 64 bit. My 2.51 version of Fraps crapped out with Win 7 64 bit as compatibility fails. I also found yesterday that EVGA Precision (nvidia overclocking tool) will take nice screenshots as well. However, after checking out the MSI Afterburner, I'll be getting a new download ASAP. Looks like just the thing I've been looking for since buying Win 7

Same error a friend of mine was having. We use Arma Launcher. I believe he finally got it to work after reinstalling the launcher. That error occurs when the game isn't reading that mod folder. After reinstalling it must have picked up the folder correctly. Five out of six people didn't have any problems, so we were dumbfounded this entire week. I can replicate that error by unchecking my @cal68 mod folder in my launcher. Good luck and hope this helps a little. It's just not seeing that folder. I can't wait to play this for the first time this weekend.

Ghost Recon - Island Thunder campaign
svo replied to lightspeed_aust's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
I think somewhere in this thread it mentions climbing to the radar. They should be within 150 meters of that area. Not sure if this will help as I never found them when I played. And to your spawning question....they are set to random spawn. Awesome missions though. ---------- Post added at 11:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:58 PM ---------- Here: Quick copy and paste from page 11 thread. Quote: Where are the downed pilots that you have to rescue in the 3rd mission? They're not at the antenna dish or any where around? briefing says head to high ground and look around - i would suggest heading to the radar and getting out your binoculars then have a really good look around. they are within 100-150 meters of you. -
Awesome, I can play paintball w/o the 3 weeks of not being able to move afterwards. Actually sold my stuff because it hurt me so bad after a day of war.

I'm playing this as SP. Really liking it so far, but haven't had time to finish. Thanks for your work.

Ghost Recon - Island Thunder campaign
svo replied to lightspeed_aust's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
Well....we do/did read the brief, but probably not as well as we should/could have. We didn't get to mission 3 until almost 2am and we might have been guilty of having a few drinks, therefore, catching important stuff might have been lost in our interpretation. :) We found the difficulty to be pretty good for us. We started out a bit rough with the first mission and the 2 revives and game over stuff, but quickly adapted to a more stealthy approach with more teamwork. We still dabble with Ghost Recon: the original, so we sometimes do our own thing, but ARMA2 tends to kick your butt if you stray to far from a planned strategy. I'm in the middle of a snow storm and can't get to work so I might have some time to play/replay some of them after I "complete the tasks" on the honey-do list from my wife. Thanks for you work on this. We are huge GR fans and absolutely love the chance to experience your work in A2. -
Ghost Recon - Island Thunder campaign
svo replied to lightspeed_aust's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
With a group of 5 we played first 3 missions. We enjoyed them even with a few snags. I should have wrote them down, but I believe mrcash hit them on the head. Although I do believe in mission 3 we finally found the package, and destroyed the shilka, but were never able to locate the downed crew, even after an extensive search. We'll be playing them again for sure so I'll also help be more specific and write down stuff as I see it. -

Very interested in this as well. A few weeks ago 6 of the guys I hang out with on Sat. nights played the original Ghost Recon series for 6 straight hours. Most of us have Arma 2 CO now and would absolutely love a chance to coop in Arma 2 on situations based off GR. Thanks for your dedication. -
Haven't played it yet, but will very soon. sniper_co_2_v1.1 Search at Armaholic and I think you'll find it.

Couldn't get from link, but Armaholic worked great. Thanks. Will try with a few guys tonight I hope.

A while back I got my bro-in-law and I steam Arma2. It worked great and never had problems. However, I found that the standalone cost nearly as much as combined ops so I took the amazon route for both of us, plus we would both have disks. I found one for $37 combined ops. I thought that was cheap enough I even splurged on expedited shipping for him. Kinda funny that I've now bought six Arma games in the last 6 months. But if you love playing something you gotta go for it.

Link is broke again for me.

Kristian's homemade missions with love

Photo is priceless. Gonna give this a go when I get a sec. -
$39.99 on Steam for me. That's one reason I went with the combo for $46.99 through Amazon. However, it has been quite painful reading the boards knowing that my game is not scheduled to be here until the 7th through the 12th. :(

Does Bis have any correspondence with Valve/Steam?
svo replied to johncage's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Strange....I had checked Steam earlier just to look at OA (I already bought the complete series from Amazon this time), as I started to read this thread I ran my mouse over the steam taskbar icon and it was downloading ARMA2 (which I already own through Steam). Now I know why this website is slow. Anyway, I didn't tell it do that and now I can't play the game because of errors. I was going to say as some others had that installing the patches manually hasn't been an issue unless you try to authenticate the STEAM download. But.....I guess I'm eating crow! -
In a group I game with we bought 5 copies from STEAM of A2 several months ago when we heard about a sale. However, I couldn't pass up the Amazon opportunity to get the combined series together for an outrageously great price. So I bought A2 twice I guess, but now have a disk for about $7. The bad thing....like so many others nowadays, we want the game NOW. I'll have to be patient and pass the time the best I can.

That is original demo. Current versions run much smoother (1.05). I have X4 AMD 940 @ 3.0 and a GTX 285 with 4 Gig ram and run the game with pretty high settings. Good Luck as I've seen bigger and beefier machines than mine struggle while some smaller than mine run it fine. <shrug>

ArmA II launcher by alpinestars
svo replied to CptArmA2's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I have the same thing happen when trying to join a friends server. I think about 4 out of 6 of us have to go through MP tab just as you do. Joining servers such as ArmAcalypse I haven't had any issues. -
Steam won't update to current version. Get the patch and install it yourself. Then your as good as gold.
