  1. Thanks I'll try that setting (-cpuCount=2) coz till now without it, Arma server only used 49% of CPU meaning that only grabbed one of the 2 CPUs available. Cheers

  5. gee what a "friendly" introduction I would say... and it sound a bit rude reading it. Why not just politely point people to right directions rather than engage on cheap negative talk. If asking questions on this forum triggers such reactions (and is such offence) then just close the entire forum, exception to those only few intellectual gurus have learned the ropes. Cheers

  8. Good call on reallity coz some other games have better squad AIs actions than ARMA2 Bring on more MODs that reduce micro-managing the squads... Micro-managing so basic actions such as - Heal this/that should be done automatically by the medic/corpsman for example - AI/Player screaming "I'm out of ammo" should one AI member of the team provide extra ammo... without need to wait for a AMMO truck to do so. - Howtizers out of ammo... just one gunner to control - unreall... where are the other 2... where at least one of them should be fetching new shells for the weapon don't run out of ammo. - Refuel, why don't AI takes initiative of refuling if the status is "safe" and either the FUEL truck/Station is X meters from their position - if player/part of the team is pin-down under enemy fire, they don't move to flanc unless commander is there... or they all move and get grilled in the process - just like happen on RWorld! So alot of MODs must be written to give AI a bit more sense of realism and to prevent AI be as inteligent as the closest door. Less micro-managing in process as well. Personaly is fine to see new "gadgets" like cars/planes/choppers pop-ing out from times to times... BUT what about essentials? What about giving AI a bit of sparks... think on the children 1st... think on AI first please.
  9. Many thanks for this mod FIX... It is really handy to have and to fly in a back-seat of a chopper knowing that it would avoid crashing on the nearest small hill. Its quite thrilling to see it flying so close to the ground... really nice mod and I'm grateful for it. Cheers
  10. Hi again A Squad/Team with a medic - could the medic have a bit more inteligence/independance and automatically heal the injured team members without need of commander tell him to do so? For example, if enemy isn't 100/200m away the medic takes the initiative of moving towards the injured member and heal if they are witin (50m radius). Would be nice to have less micro-management to concentrate more on tactical. Many thanks Thyro
  11. Hi, SQUAD member running out of ammo Please could a addon guru give a small spark of inteligence to one of the AI troopers... (machine gun unit probably)... to automatically move close to the squad member that has ran out of ammo and pass some to that unit to reload. Howitzer units running out of ammo Please can the 2nd howtizer AI (sit on "back seat") run to the nearest AMMO truck and back to fill up the howitzer AMMO queue automatically during the interval between fires. howitzers have 3 seats and one is the gunner the other two have no purpose - In reality the 2nd seat is to handle the ammo and the 3rd to fetch the new shell from the pile into the gun... On arma2 just needs one as gunner to aim and move would be more realistic to give some purpose to other two or at least give 2nd one the purpose of running to the nearest AMMO truck/deport to fetch the ammo If this could be done, then it could also be applied to all fixed weapons such as mortars etc... to give a purpose to have more than 2 AI unit per weapon.   12. Hi, Please could some addon guru add a FIX to all APCs! When a player sits on the back seat, the dummy AI driver/commander/gunner pop out the APC hatches. It impossible to make them "turn in" unless a player is sat in one of those seats (commander/gunner/driver). And even if a player goes to one of those seats to instruct "turn in" and then goes back to the "back seat" the dummy AI pop their dummy heads out of the APC again. Really annoying bug that cost the lives of those dummy AI driver/commander/gunner coz they remain with their half body out of the APC even when they have an enemy right in front their nose.     Dedicated server crash: Warfare

    I have similar problem with my server with WarfareV2_044, it becomes somewhat unresponsive after 1h play. Not seen it crashing yet but perhaps I restart the server to temporary solve the unresponse. I've been also looking at memory consumption and it raises constantly; when it reaches 1.5Gb is when it becomes unresponsive. AI seem to have their own mind, ignoring commander commands and revert going to previous auto-selected waypoints. If isn't that then they get confused between two towns at equal distances. AI also becomes inresponsive, surrounding the town instead of taking it, beside they don't seem to fill up their squads like the previous version. So looks like 2_044 has few issues needing attention.
  14. Hi, I'm having some trouble loading warfarev2_044 with customised settings rather than its defaults. I've tried both ways but none seem to work. Please could an Admin share some light on this matter?   15. Apart from above log which seems to indicate the server is fully operational. I can see my server listed on servers list "[A2E - UK ] Arma2 Hell" but its status "Creating" doesn't change even after couple hours (and not even it displays what the missions/type of game is on the list).
