So long as you aren't using them for mp (to avoid conflict issues for you) I don't mind doing you a special one off with the sf guys in bush hats and the mg51 removed...? Just let me know.

Templar...no CM didn't come up with the name however they got the rights to it when they trademarked it as theirs on publishing the game. I never said you were welcome but I did say I welcome you. It shows that we don't mind people questioning conventially held community wisdom here.

I will say one thing about this (flame retardant suit on). At least pro DR people are welcomed and able to talk about DR of this forum (Templar and Wiggum up there) and personally I welcome them. One thing that turned a lot of people off to DR, including some people that had no idea about the difference between the two games, was that they get almost insta banned on the CM forums for mentioning arma2. Sorry but that doesn't exactly show the kind of spirit I hope for in a community based gaming experience (i.e. encouraging players to join and play mp). I happen to know a guy who I work with who thought DR was great (had it for a console) but he posted about arma2 on the CM forums and was banned after 1 post. He never said it was better but the mere mention of it got him banned. Obviously I am not in a position to petition CM about this but I would recommend that he does because it seems ridiculous. just my 2 cents.

Sorry about that, i could take out the beanie hats but i got a bunch of pms asking me to leave them in. as far as the mg51 thing goes if i do another update I may see if i can take it out or apparently SWM has a work around for me just waiting to hear back. @ Custom...have you tried contacting the SWM guys about your error? I'm not sure what would be causing it...does the mg unit work fine in game?

UPDATE: It is my intention to fix the group configs and release these units along with the special forces and then bring this project to a close. I say this because i have every intention of joining the DDAM team and offering my support as a texture artist there. The release will most likely be tonite or tommorow

The way the AI handles buildings is pretty good in DR, never said it wasn't. However combat dynamics wise it's pretty dumb. So i think we are agreeing.

hmm a TV show that must be right...didn't mean to cause an arguement. I happen to have some knowledge in this area but i will defer to your superior powers. -
As someone who has defended DR as being "average" and having my ass flamed off earlier in this thread I have to say i agree with the other arma2 boys here. I played thatm mission also (the mortar one) and there is nothing there that strikes me as advanced AI more than some scripted events. Case in point in that mission you have the option of taking out some AA emplacements to make your life easier. I decided not to go for this but instead took a route around the other side of the mountain meaning I could by pass almost all the enemies entirely. At one point I walked behind an enemy squad by about 10 meters, they had no idea i was there. I later replayed the mission and just where i loaded in the AA guns started shooting at my squad on the hill. While i ran for cover and screamed at my AI team mates to follow (even pointed to a place and told them to move fast) they just stood there and waited to die. Like i said before DR is a very average tactical fps that should be judged in the same vein as RS:Vegas but it is a completely different beast than arma2 and any suggestion of advanced AI is ridiculous.

A couple of things...or really just one, where did you get that figure and whereever you got it from unless you are currently serving in the SAS there is no way that is accurate info. p.s. stags if u need voice actors i can help out also. -

TBH it wouldn't suprise me if he actually worked for CM all along and this is just their way of squeezing more money out of the dopes on that forum.

It's very easy for me to do the hat swaps...you want them all wearing the bush hat right? At the moment only the medics and AT guys are using the beanie just to give some variation but that can be eliminated easily enough. There might be a way for me to get around using the swm mod i'll see what i can do.

Hopefully this one came out a little better. You can see the direct action guy, regular infantry and spec ops last in line (although he is a little blurry) but the camo pattern is the same for all of them, in colour contrast and everything else.
