lol sorry dude u got it from a website called "torrentz" and you "think" it's a pirated game? Did you have to pay for it on this website???did that not seem kind of fishy to you? Don't play dumb man usually i'll give anyone a break on this forum and i try and be friendly. You knew precisely that you got a pirate copy for free. I hate game piracy..no doubt i'll get flamed by someone on here but i wanna applaud BIS again for getting FADE into games and taking the fight back to the pirates.

Sorry for the lack of key been working on getting some of the issues with ddam resolved plus some stuff in real life. Anyway quick WIP showing some DDAM stuff in game. I am still having problems with the rvmats so far i have redone all the infantry (desert, ISAF, mixed, green etc) but havent done their gear. The vest has been given a complete touch up but because of the normal errors much of the texture appears flat in game. Also due to rvmat probs they get black spots all over them in game which will be resolved at some point i hope.

Seconded...maybe you guys should check out stalker GB's work... Also a 2 sec search would have given you some clarity on what to expect and when to expect brit units.

im working on redoing some configs on the infantry atm.

Stalker and bink helped me out a great deal when i 1st got here...not to pile more work on them or anything. Or failing that you can drop me a pm.

erm i might be able to get you some decent live recorded prop engine sounds, although it would mean calling in some favors. They wouldn't be merlin engines though. I might also know someone who has those. Gimme a few days and i'll post back if i get anything.

so long as the .paa plugin works for elements there is no reason why not but i would suggest you use the search function on the forum next time...or simply try it and see.

i've been working on the DDAM units but i've run into some issues that require some reworking, i need to get hold of raven about this.

does it give you an error message? It get a lot of crash to desktops with lots of mods usually it's an addon conflict or something i didn't set up right but no i'm having no CTD with this. Could you be a little more specific?

erm have you tried putting your addons in your addons folder? If you are using the mod folder method then you probs wanna download a launcher

yeh the average consumer will see arma2 as a game 1st but that still doesn't alter my point one bit. If you base your entire marketing campaign on false screenies and then give the community zero support in the long run you get what u ask for. I released a peice of software once that had a crash to desktop error that affect 99% of the users. It sucked it took a year to gain people's trust back. Arma and Arma2 have bugs yes but at least BIS are working to fix them. Empire Total War crashed for a lot of users during the campaign when it was first released. People forgive crashes and bugs if they are fixed, be it by the devs or community. What people don't forgive is lies, false marketing and zero community support.

That is a self defeating question buddy (hate to weigh in here and i rarely do) but the REASON BIS has such great community support is precisely because they make their games so moddable and are so accomodating in the first place. That is why we forgive them the initial bugs. Most people look at arma2 as a toolset. Sure the sp can be a PITA when it doesn't work but if you give people what they want i.e. good tools, constant contact with the devs and numerous patches then you foster a caring and devout community. If you want to see how not to do this then go about doing what CM did.

their arguement is that this is a proper expansion pack. I've completed the game but thats only because i happened to get stuck at home for almost a week with bad weather and cudnt even get out of the house. I've covered pretty much every option In game (allowing for my characters various choices) and it was great but you're right it is too soon. Even if it adds another 20 hours of game play how can they justify charging you as much as the full game was? Apparently RTO wasn't worth the money for DLC the only thing it did was give you a storage crate, which imho should have been added for free during a patch. Ah well looks like EA is ruining another good company.

Just a little heads up guys, i've been annoying Binkowski (read really annoying him) and he has kindly agreed to help out with his talents as a modeller on getting these dutch guys to be accurate. So stand by and we'l update this thread as and when we have something to show.
