  2. maxriga..to put it simply...shut up. You arent making the mod, they are. Prototype is right: if you dont like it, dont play it. Its really annoying when you put hours and hours and hours of work into something and someone just comes along and says "thats not going to work"
  3. umm wierd.my post was deleted..but my question was what do the demonstrators in the ACE2 couple of features vids shoot? What are those blue man targets called..are they a part of ACE2 or vanilla Arma 2 or are they a completely seperate download? Are they even available for download? thanks..please reply
  4. what are the names of the blue targets that are shot at in the ace features videos? Are they a part of vanilla A2, are these added with ace mod or are these a completely seperate download? Im asking because i need something like this for a sniper school series of missions im making and i am getting sick of shooting blue plastic barrels lol. thanks
  5. i noticed something with the tanks. when im standing next to one and it fires (it looks and sounds very very good btw, good work!) before my guy falls to the ground and my vision goes in and out...my guy turns instantaneously to look in one (always the same) direction. Its not horrible but it looks a little wierd.
  6. hey i have a problem with the ACEX_PLA. I can find no trace of PLA ingame...where are they supposed to be found? This is what my target line looks like: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_PLA;@zcommon_ace" Is this fine or does it need to be before ACEX or what?

    how much of this mod is done or in a beta state? I dont really have a picture of where this mod is in terms of work done. I know there are screenshots at page 1 and they look REALLY good but i dont think theyve been updated in a while

  9. hey excellent excellent excellent mod..im downloading now...will this mod allow things like Project Aus, Irish Defence force mod and the Bundeswehr mod?? these are all mods i want to keep but im not sure if they will work..wat would be issues with mods? Oh and ill probably sound like a bit of an idiot but will helicopter addons and weapons addons be problematic? To cut it short...guess im asking, wat sort of mods are the ones with compatability issues? thanks
  10. thanks mate, but just out of curiousity...is it doable to give the XDF descam soldiers by modifying their pbo files? how would you do this?
  11. is it possible to give the steyrs to a different unit in a mission? i have those XDF Descam aussie soldiers but they have M4s...how easy would it be to modify the pbo to give them steyrs permanently and if that is very comlplicated then would i just be able to use the init line?

    is that just chernarus? or is that another map that is donwloadable? It looks really good for SF missions (which i guess is why you put the guys there) thanks
  13. i dont know if this has been done or is possible but can someone tell me how to make the main cannon on tanks not moved by the mouse but by the arrow keys or WSAD. Red Orchestra did it well and i think it gives the tanks a more authentic feeling. Using the mouse to point and click just seems really unrealistic and looks stupid from the outside as well...
  14. well you could but it would sound like crap lol, this way is much better quality wise that doesnt mention credits there at all. It could be talking about radio chatter from the episodes...i mean if i was making a show like that, and i decided to make the credits radio chatter i would probably just get some pre recorded stuff instead of making my own.
  15. well Betsalel, i am no expert either..by any means..but i was watching a mod a month or two ago and the same sort of situation came up, and the way i took the resolution of the dispute that arose was that it was ok UNLESS you are making money from the mod. if this is a free mod then it should be fine but if you sell it or make money from it somehow then it could be an ownership issue. But dont rely on what i have said cos i am by no means an expert in this.
  16. certainly sounds like excellent mod, i dont know how youd get it working though...i guess youd just need some scripting knowledge. a good way to get radio chatter (or at least what i did) is download the free AoA Audio Extractor from here: http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm and look up the generation kill end credits on youtube: and use keepvid or youtube downloader or something to download the videos. then use the Audio extractor to extract the audio from them. The audio extractor will only extract to three file formats so you will need an audio converter to convert them to a usable format. apparently this is real audio from the invasion of iraq and it sounds very good. it would add a lot of immersion. i hope this is useful to anyone wanting radio chatter

  21. hmmm, convincing argument, but you could add a pistol pouch or sumthing to one leg or chest to give them less of a pyjama look :D
