I have 1.59 and this will happen no matter what game mode, singleplayer or multi. It'll be playing fine, then minimize saying Arma2 OA has stopped working. I went through deleted all the mods, even uninstalled then reinstalled using Steam and it still does it. The time it takes to happen varies but the longest I've played before it crashes is 15-20mins. It's also the only game I own that will crash with no warning and all my games are on Steam. The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling then reinstalling with all the mods deleted, would this be worth a try?

This is getting pretty rage-worthy. I set all the graphics to low, even the video memory, granted I have no clue what it does but it's at low and it still crashes. It happens to all the Arma's I own, and I own all of them; but not to any of my other games. If Steam would let me sell the game back to them, I would.

Is texture detail and texture memory the same? The graphics are already on low. I've had another guy on another site say it might be a memory problem.

Is the OP relevant to OA on Steam? I can't find the files you listed and I have Steam.

Seriously, if you're going to make a mission or campaign etc for ArmaII, do a little research. When talking on the radio, you never say, "Over and Out." Stop this, please. If you do it or have done it, go play in traffic. When talking on the radio the term, "Over" means. I am done talking. Now you may speak." The term "Out" means. Stop. Freeze. This is the end of the conversation. If you say another word I will shoot you in the face. So when you say, "Over and Out." You are really saying. "Ok, I'm done speaking, respond to what I said. But wait, I'd like to hear you speak but this is the end of the conversation. If you say another word, I will shoot you in the face." When initiating a conversation, go by the format, "You, this is me. Over." Meaning if I'm a unit in the field and HQ is calling me this is what HQ will say. Keep in mind HQ is initiating the conversation. "Phantom 1 this is HQ. Over." "This is Phantom 1. Go ahead, over. -Conversation.- "Roger, this is Phantom 1. Out." Bam, HQ doesn't need to say another word. End of conversation. Keep in mind, though. Every time a different person speaks you don't need to use the, "You this is me" format. You know who's talking. If someone new jumps into the conversation, use the format.

Indeed it is. I found it relevant because this game has been praised for it's realism. If you're going to take the time to try and add to this game atleast follow the procedures that the entity that your game is about has established. I've made it even easier for people. I downloaded one of the campaign's from Armaholic. The thing is I can't find the campaign folder anywhere. Where should it be located?

As a AD FO in the Army, I had a shitload of fun with this mod. I just can't wait for the real artillery.

PAQ-2's that work. Most 16's in game have a little box on the side. Using NVG's, that little box projects an IR laser on to your target. And a BUIS. Backup Iron sight. I've never seen an M4 with CCO/ACOG that didn't have one

If I were to say, download a addon for another weapon would it be found only in the multiplayer area, or in the campaign as well?

I dunno, I think I did pretty good. The topic of the thread was I had to question about ARMA2 and if you look at the body of the thread, it indeed does have a question about ARMA2. Maybe, "ARMA2 Campaign question."

The Ranger tab has no color on a real uniform. It's "subdued." Google it. None of the patches on a uniform have color, it's all subdued. As I was. In a stateside garrison environment, they'd have color, in a combat zone, subdued.

I'm new to PC gaming, this game is in fact my first ever. I'm even newer to computers. I can check my email and that's about it. My question is, I bought this game brand new today at best buy. In order to have a solid gaming experience, do I need to download all of the patches? And if so, do I need to do them in order? Thanks.
