Will any of these computers run ArmA2 out of the box?

Not everyone has $260 to spend on a gpu.GTX 260 can be had for 100 less.Although id reccomend a 4870 for arma if hes on a budget ATI cards seem to run arma 2 better overall.I have gtx 260 216 and im very happy with it and it runs arma 2 really well.BTW that review when a card dips below 20 fps at minimum i dont consider that as playable.If this guy has the money for a 5850 id reccomend it tho highley it is the best bang for the buck and my next card -

How to kill the blur effect with PP on high???

He asked how to keep PP on high without the blur if you turn PP off that defeats the purpous of what hes trying to do.Read more careful next time -

Arma 2 is weird it seems like it almost picks and chooses who its going to run for and not.I hear alot of people saying buy quad but i do good with my e8400 right when i got arma i only had an 8800 GT and i was running medium/high smoothley.Ive upgraded to a gtx 260 now i run everything very high and set AF and AA to normal and i stay above 30 FPS -
I pretty much got every aspect of the game editor down well enough to make pretty solid missions.However im having a serious issue with inserting a briefing.To put it simply i do not know what the heck im doing.I watched a tuitorial on youtube thought i did everything he said and nothing.Then i downloaded the briefing manager and i understand how to use it but do i have to edit anything after i save it as a briefing.sqf?In the video tuitorial i was told all i needed in the init.sqf was execVM "briefing.sqf"; im lost here.Ive spent about 30 hours working on a mission i have it completed accept the briefing. Ive looked for hours for help and even the one thing the guy had posted here confused me.I did alot of editor work for the deltaforce series but this is way above that.If anyone could tell me what im doing wrong id appreciate it.I realize i ask alot of questions but i really love this game and want to add to the community thanks

thanks this did the trick i got the briefing ingame now again thanks alot!Hopefully ill have a 2 player co-op mission to upload shortley

I cant seem to find much about synchroning events to happen from a trigger.Heres the situation im in a boat and about 150 yards from a bridge with 2 tanks on it.I have an a-10 off in the distance i put the first waypoint right next to the a-10 and used the hold command,anyways i have 2 more waypoints after that leading from the jet to the tank and the last waypoint i have marked over the tanks on the map and set it to seek and destroy.The trigger i synchronized it to is a present trigger which i take to mean if me the player is present inside the trigger area.By the way i syncronized the hold waypoint to the trigger is that right?not sure what im doing wrong here any help would be appreciated.Id like to beable to radio alpha to set the trigger but not sure how to do all that,but id be happy with the first way if someone can talk me through it. -

ive run into another problem im closing in on the end of my first mission,however im on a base and im trying to trigger an enemy su-34 to come bomb one of my tanks.i got the first move waypoint for the enemy jet psynchronized to an enemy who i named dbs !Alive dbs so when he dies its suppose to trigger and the text triggers that an enemy jet is coming in and to take cover but the jet never shows up.ive set the flying height to 150 so i know he isnt crashing or anything.any ideas am i missing something?maybe triggering enemies is done differently then freindly? -
I had a helicopter triggered to come pick me and my squad member up and while it shows up like its suppose to when i go to get in theres knowone in the pilot seat and it trys to make me fly to our next waypoint.Yesterday everything worked fine picked us up and dropped us off at the desired area.Now it comes but the heli just sits there with knowone in the pilot seat any ideas?i made the heli unplayable to so i dunno how i could even get in the pilot seat in the first place.

Hi im fairly new to the game been playing it for 3 weeks or so and i just wanted to show some love for this game.I see alot of negetive comments and thats all fine and dandy but this game blows me away the possibilities are endless. Im trying to figureout the editor i very much want to make missions and add to the community somehow.This games overall greatness will be defined by the community and extra content in which were already getting alot of. I want to thank bohemia for a great war simulator and giving us the tools to make great missions.Eventually i would like to find a mature clan to join up with.Im old school i played back in the deltaforce 1 days but unfortuneatly never played flashpoint much. To the community who have contributed in one way or another thanks and i hope this game keeps going strong for years to come!

I can understand fair critism but when someone in another forum complains they cant play it on there geforce ti-4600 and rants about it thats just ridiculous.I dont ever remember a game this open ended coming out bug free or polished for that matter.OP flashpoint was the same way at the beggining -

well as a long time PC gamer i expect bugs in a sandbox game of this nature.Im happy enough knowing bohemia has great support with the numerous patches being released. I loved boiling point which is another sandbox game however the developers did not stand behind there product.I think one patch was made and it didnt help much with anything.We should all be happy atleast that we get many updates to make the game better from bohemia. A game this size will have problems on release theres no way around that,its not like its a rail shooter that bugs are easily detected.I always give a game like this a year to get the quirks and such worked out but to me most of them have been ironed out already.
