  2. Could be, I was hoping it wasn't, when I use the that line of code in Evo's description.ext and then try and host a game it gives me the following error: File MPMissions\EVO%20BLUE%20AC130.Chernarus\ac130\Rsc.h, line 12: .RscText: Member already defined. :confused:
  3. Hey, I've been trying to get this to work in Evo but am not having much luck. I put the folder with all the scripts into the mission along with the code in the init file. The only thing I didn't add that was in the sample mission was the code in the description.ext. When I load up an Evo game all option to "Call AC130" shows up on the object with the init line but instead of going into the gunner view it just flashes briefly and then returns you to your character. Same thing happens with "AC130 Autopilot" and "AC130 Camera". This is with vanilla ArmA 2 with no mods. Any ideas on what could be causing the problem? Am I missing something?
  4. What about Red Faction Guerilla's Geomod 2 engine? Way ahead of CryEngine and Frostbite 2 in terms of destrutible environments imo.
  5. Evolution is a Co-op map. The objective is to clear the island by clearing out certain towns on the island in a certain order. As you gain points you gain ranks and with ranks you get access to better vehicles/weapons. That's the basic overview of the game. Domination I'm still not sure, I played a bit of it in ArmA 1 but didn't really get into it. There are other modes such as Chernarus life, which is an RPG type mode where you take the role of either civilians or cops and live in a semi persistant world where you can work, commit crimes, earn money etc. If you'd like to join a server with people who would be more than happy to answer your questions, my friend runs a dedicated called Digfig's Dedicated Server, its usually up and we play quite a lot throughout the day.
  6. Does not Arma 2 use the same engine as Arma 1, which in turn uses the same engine as OFP? Which came out in 2001?

  8. Yeah, all the relevant machines have the addon. Could it be that the mod is incompatible with dedicated servers? It didn't say anywhere on the page on armaholic or in the readme but just a thought.
  9. Recently, I tinkered around with Razor's Evo Blue map and added the GLT F16 to it. Everything is fine, I hosted a game on my PC to test it and everything works OK, the map plays like it should and everything works. I sent it to a friend who is running a dedicated server for Arma 2 and he put the pbo into his MPMissions folder but when we try and launch it on the server, the screen simply flashes. Any idea what could be causing this?

    Editing Evolution

    Two questions - First, is it possible for someone with only a basic knowledge of mission making to add vehicles into Evolution and make them work with the ranks/respawn? Second, if it is, can anyone run me through it? :) Any help is appreciated, thanks. Edit: It seems I've posted this thread in the wrong place, could a mod please move it to the Arma 2 editing forum?
  11. A friend of mine who plays Arma 2 gets the receiving data message during gameplay. It can happen anywhere from as soon as he logs in to 15-20mins of gameplay. Is anything being done to remedy this?
