I've got a problem with my ArmA2 after installing 1.05. As we all know SecuRom has been disabled in 1.05 and as a defence against illegal copies a few things were added to the game, such as the sentence "Illegal copies may degrade" in the middle of the screen,or blurry screens during missions and a noticable loss of accuracy of almost all weapons. It's fine to me I like such methods, because these are more creative and as I think better than SecuRom and other useless and annoying junk. Well my problem is: MY COPY OF THE GAME IS LEGAL!:( This really annoys me because I simply can't play because I can't even hit the targets on the shooting range properly.So the protection sees to work fine;) but why the hell does it affect my game? I bought it shortly after the release and after a few tests of some magazines. Until now I uninstalled it, reinstalled - nothing changed. Uninstallend,reinstalled and patched it but this time I downloaded the patch from an other mirror. Nothing changed. Uninstalled, reinstalled,patched and this time I didn't use any addons or mods it was just the basic ArmA2 1.05 and it still is being detected as an illegal copy. :mad: I will actually tell my brother to buy me a new one because he is on holiday and I'am not ready to pay 40-50€ for a game I already have. If nothing helps that will be the last solution for me and in Poland it costs 65PLN = More or less 15€. P.S. Patch 1.05 dramatically raises the performance of the game! And P.S.² I would not buy the same game twice if it would not be ArmA 2! :)

Yeah I got the same problem. I have bought my copy of ArmA2 in the same shop (MediaMarkt) I always buy my games and oddly it seems to be detected as an illegal copy. The bullets of all guns just seem to go berserk and when I use a chopper (Viper,Hind or Apache) you can see the gunner aiming at the target and shooting at it as well but the bullets do not go strait at the target but are all over the place.And at the end of "Into the Storm" my monitor goes blurry and wobbles arround. It's very strange I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game but it did not help in any way. Can someone please help? P.S. Without any addons or mods it's exactly the same and I don't know what to do. When nothing will work I'll ring my brother. He's on vacation in Poland and I will tell him to buy it there for 70PLN = 15€. I now live in Germany and I perhaps should change my location in the description. (Here it still costs 40 - 50€ = 200PLN, mad!) -

All in all the new update makes a lot better. AI is now stunning, the new mini campaign is very cool. The AH-64 is a real beauty, the best 3D Model of an Apache I've seen so far. My performance is trough the roof now...It's working just fine.:eek: Great job on that.:) Some things had been fixed yet but I'am looking forward to next updates in 2010 fixing these as well. I can't fire or even select the Hydra-Rockets in the Apache (But only in EW in the editor or other missions it works just fine). The T90 can still be blown up with a mag of M2 rounds. I've got a question. Since I've not managed to test it myself I'll ask it. Do planes sway from one side to the other automaticly using the rudder at high speeds? This was annoying me pretty much because I fly a lot.:D -

I've got the same problem. I love flying planes and such but this rudder thingy really annoys me. I can't fly a straight line because the rudder is turning left and right all the time. I noticed it even appears on addon aircraft, so it might be a config bug or misshap or something. Does someone know how to fix this? -

I made a list with the "big stuff" and now I would like to go into the specifics and make some suggestions of the small stuff that would make the game more realistic. Infantery: Flashlights: Yeah I know with NV goggles they become obsolete but when you talk to some people or even try to rescue them (Dr.Sova in the very first mission for example) they can be useful. Far Cry - like Binoculars with laser microphone: Suited to spy some guys out and to get some useful information you would not get normally. Cartridges: I miss them. I would like to see them lying around on the streets after a long fight. Gives a realistic touch. Medals, Badges and Stuff: For gods sake, four boys fight almost their own war, they should get something mission after mission.:cool: Units: UN, EU-Forces (NATO) Joint Operation Missions or a campaign with combined british,french,german,polish forces. Guns: Scar (Operation Arrowhead will have them :D ), FN Herstal FN-2000, P90, MP5SD, M4SOPMOD, PP-19 Bizon, OC-14 Groza, FAMAS (FAMAS Acog), L85,SA85, L96A1, AWM, Beryl, G3A1, G3A3, G3SG1,G36,MG36 Vehicles: Entry/Exit - Animation!!! Animated Doors,Hatches, Visor-Covers! Custom looking vehicles (e.g. M4 Sherman in Company of Heroes): Different models for one type. Tanks have some sandbags or small crates on them, they are dirty randomly, different equipment left by the soldiers like their helmets and backpacks. Advanced visual damage (e.g. Battlefield: Bad Company 2) A vodnik hit by a rocket in the rear has a big hole in it or something like that. Accurate gunshot holes included. Air: Entry/Exit - Animation!!! Animated Doors, Ramps. Ability to move inside transport choppers. The guy at the door-MG gets hit, you will stand up and take the MG for him or even better move to one of the windows, grab your gun and fire it from there. Different loadouts for combat choppers and planes. Random looking planes and choppers with different markings (Noseart:cool:) Boxes and stuff inside transport planes and choppers, headphones hanging around and waving with the movement of the aircraft. Some small details making it more realistic. Better animation of the chopper,the passangers and the stuff inside, when the tailrotor gets hit and destroyed (e.g. Quake 4, CoD:Modern Warfare, Movie: Blackhawk Down): People shouting,stuff flying around, chopper moving uncontrolable and violently.:D Naval: LHD-life (e.g. Crysis last mission) Planes and choppers taking off and landing, getting packed and put under deck into the hangar, people loading weapons, crew checking machines, pilots and lhd-crew talking. Things like that would make the LHD and the destroyers around it look less static. Civil: People in the small towns actually do something and just not stand around. More driving cars, kids playing around, people working on the fields, painting their houses, cleaning windows and their cars, shops are open and people are buying stuff. They meet randomly on the streets, talk to each other and so on. That would make the world more realistic and not as if it would be inhabitated by robots. That would be it so far. I know some of the things will probably appear in the P85 packs (mainly the first category) and I want to say thanks to Vilas and all the others working on the addons, but some of the points I mentioned here will stay wishes. But nevertheless, keep up the brilliant work. Greets:) -

I almost fell off my chair watching that xD I've got a small problem. At first: When the mission starts, the choppers are unfolded and then they start folding. Is it possible to spawn them directly folded? And my other problem is, why the hell do they spawn above the deck and me also, but I fell down on deck and can walk around. Others just stay flying above the deck and when I tell them to go there they fall on deck and die.:eek: Thanks in advance for the help. -

Will there be a Gazelle light attack/support chopper? I miss it on the list and I would like to see it in ArmA 2 together with the Lynx. Would be nice to make the Blue Eagles Display Team preform tricks in ArmA 2. :) -

Looks awesome. But the Il-76 is a bit too big, if you ask me. It's a medium transport aircraft, it has the size of the C141 and is a bit smaller than the C17 but on the picture it looks like the AN225 Mrija. Looking forward to fly these beauties in ArmA2. -

I would love to see Aushilfe's Su-30's in ARMA 2. His Flankers were the best Airplane-Addons for ARMA and they would fit very well into ARMA2 as well. Marines and CDF against Russia, with big scale tank battles, massive dogfights, helicopter encounters, ambushes and so on...christmas is not far anymore and it's time for wishes. :D -
How to place Stuff on the LHD?

Hello, it might be a pretty nooby question, but I'am pretty new at making missions and I just can't place anything on board of the LHD. It always spawns underwater and blows up. My idea was to make a mission, which starts like the "Harvest Red" Campaign, on board of the LHD. How do I make that happen? Do I need a tool, or just a script? And if I do, what script/tool do I need for that? Thanks in advance for all the help and sorry if it have been posted before. -

I've got another question a bit about this mission and dogs of war. I managed to succes in this mission but: I drove to the mill next to Vishnoye to meet Prizrak and let my guys do the rest with conquering the last town. They finished first and I was still in the middle of the conversation with Prizrak and I didn't get any chance whether to kill him or not and in Dogs Of War he speaks to me at the beginning but it worries me that the tags of the guys of Team Razor are red, so I wanted to ask, can I load a savegame from Badlands, without replaying the whole mission? I just wanted to return to a point, where I conquered 2 towns and did not gave the order to attack the third one. Is this possible?:confused: -

Thanks for your help. That worked. I tried to ambush it with a RPG which I bought back in Novy Sobor but it just rushed out the town on the field and started to fire granades at me. I've just sent a bunch of AT guys and s BRDM as support on it and meanwhile I took care about the "Protect Vishnoye" task. Thanks again for the tricks.:cool: -

I found it, destroyed it but nothing happened. The second time (When I had to start the campaign again) I found the smugglers in Gro...however, the town west of Kraznostav, where Langushina comes from. But this was luck. When I had to start the mission again because of a corrupt save, I couldn't find them at all. -

So I managed to take Novy Sobor even without the NAPA guys ( You can shout for help a bajillion times they won't show up). I first ran across the field to the strongpoint to the left when you look at the town from the woods where you start. Then a bunch of blokes ran towards me but they are pretty easy to take out. I met 2 UAZs in town. One was directly by the church. Take this one out first because it stands pretty tricky and can spot you from there all across town. The other one was driving around somewhere. I took Novy Sobor, the APC came, HQ built and I got the task to take Stary Sobor and a few other places. And that's where I am stuck. I went to Stary Sobor with a group of guys (2 Medics, 2 RPGs, 1 BRDM 2) we took the Strongpoint, took out 2 UAZs driving towards us and then, all of a sudden half of the russian army arrived. At least 2 BTR-90's, 1 URAL and one or two Vodniks and a few guys. I managed to take out one Vodnik and the Troops, at least some of them. But the BTR are giving us hell always killing me or somebody else of Team Razor and they always kill more or less everybody else. How do I get past this? Do I have to take the other towns first? Or do I have to take Stary Sobor directly without taking the strongpoint? Sombody please help, this is really getting frustrating. Thanks in advance. Greets Rupert.
