What....? None of this has ever happened to me, nor have I seen anyone mention it. Are you sure you havn't installed a mod that does this?

How come the Russians speak English?
Fudgeblood replied to WMike20052's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
They speak Russian for me, but occasionally they'll say "Oh fuck that hurts" (As LeadCommando said) when wounded. -
1. Yes. 2. No, unless you download the Steam version. 3. Must be a glitch, I can't remember correctly but after that you were supposed to get an evac (I think.), the latest patch should've fixed that.
-
If they each came with their own missions or a mini campaign for each faction, then yes, I would definantly buy them. However, as others have said, there's no point when the community just makes them for free.
-
Paying for something dosn't always make it legal. It says right there in the website URL that it's a key website, not a game website. Steam, Direct 2 Drive, Impulse, etc. You should really be more careful next time.
-
If I understand correctly, you're talking about high magnified scopes, e.g "sniper scopes". If so, yes, there are scopes like that in ArmA 2, they're usually on "snipers".If you're talking about FLIR, you'll probably need to script or download a mod for that if you want it to work in ArmA 2, I'm not sure though, havn't really messed around with the scopes much. You can also turn down the difficulty, which will enable enemy tags which light up the enemies for you with big red circles.

How to target with heavy AT weapons in vet or expert mode
Fudgeblood replied to Njayjay's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
The title was a little misleading, "How to target with heavy AT weapons in vet or expert mode" sounds like a guide on how to do it, please in the future name your titles "How do I?" or "How do you?" not "How to?", it's broken English. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. :P And as the others said, you'll have to guess if the Javelin is locked on, and the SMAW dosn't lock on at all, sadly. You should also be able to turn on visual aids in the menu for Vet/Expert without tampering with any other settings. -
Very well done site, if someone was to read this and had no knowledge of ArmA 2 I wouldn't be suprised if they thought it was real.

Hi there! How many ArmA II patches should we expect?
Fudgeblood replied to ^Th0mas^'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I'm expecting 1.1 - 1.15 . The game is highly playable atm, it's not like we really need much more, considering BIS will most likely focus on Arrowhead instead. -
Bad.. English... UGH. And this is the forum for discussing the game, not hardware, please check the hardware forum/thread.
-
Sadly, this is true.I was trying to convince my friend to buy a gaming PC and he kept saying "Hell no! I don't want to spend 5000$ on a graphics card!". Anyway, OFP2 looks good (imo) and I have it pre-ordered (comes out the 15th here), but it's obvious BIS are the true mil-sim devs.

inb4tl. This thread really belongs in Offtopic.

I memorized all the commands in about an hour, as did almost everyone I know who plays the game. And I've never seen ANYONE say "the squad controls are too complex, screw this game".
-
Complex? You press 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 , not that hard to remember really.

Joe's Helicopter Tutorial!!! For every Pilot at Arma 2 ))))
Fudgeblood replied to kolotei's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Posted before. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=75962 -
OFP: DR is apparantly very terrible, people are complaining on the forums and the game got reviews of: 5/10 4/10 3/6 Apparantly, very buggy, lot's o' scripting, missions break easy, worse driving than ArmA 2, terrible online, terrible AI (Again, worse than ArmA 2) and so on. Despite all this the game has gotten some 9/10 reviews, so I'll be picking it up on release here. And this thread is probably going to get locked like the others. :P

New island projects - what do you want?
Fudgeblood replied to icebreakr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Australian outback! :p Nice mix of beaches, snowy mountains (Yes there are some), deserts, forests etc. New Zealand map would be good too. Also, a French countryside snowy map. -
interested in Voice acting!
Fudgeblood replied to CombatComm's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
One of the best things I've seen all day. -
The demo is unpatched, this guy is asking about the campaign, bugs and perf, which you can't completely judge via the demo.
-
1. Yes, there a few bugs (for me atleast) and AI is fine. Performance is still abit bad but my CPU isn't exactly top notch. 2. I believe they've fixed alot of issues, can't confirm this myself though. 3. There's a "Will my PC run this?" thread stickied, you're best off asking there.
-
"You have successfully joined this cult." Awesome. (BTW that means I joined ;))
-
Heh, ok then. Also, we went really off-topic in an off-topic discussion :S
-
Nevermind, stupid post :p
-
Nah, I remember watching something about it on the History Channel, Japan tried to surrender but America didn't believe them or something.Anyway, back on-topic. Wouldn't a proper nuke in ArmA 2 crash our PC's? :P Also there'd definantly be a swarm of bad videos using that "Let the bodies hit the floor song" on Youtube making the game look bad, imo.
