Hey guys, I finished making a sniper level today, first level I've ever made. I'd like someone to try it and see how it plays out. It's all fine for me but I'd like a second opinion. If you have the ability to edit the mission, could you check my work? See if there's anything you'd do differently or that could be done better. This mission has no briefing at the moment. One look at the map should explain the mission well enough (through markers) but for a quick rundown: 1) sniper (player) starts south of a town (can't remember name) 2) player advances north to assassinate target 3) target patrols marked road, unarmed, leading 2 other men 4) marked question marks on map are possible positions of snipers. Basically I spawned 5 snipers with about a 50% chance of being there. 5) the noted assault team will attack once you're detected (you'll know by an alarm). I believe they're set as playable but there's no end mission trigger if you play as them. 6) after taking down the target, the player's waypoint *should* advance to the exfil point. I had a little trouble getting this to work right, but at this point I think it's working well. 7) once arriving at extraction, get in the chopper and extract. mission ends. Lets see here... 1) You know, I think I saw the same thing a few times. I'm honestly not sure why that happens. 2) Mmhmm... 3) You make a very good point, sir. 4+5) Mmhmm again... I think I agree with you on everything actually. Basically the mission just needs "more" to it. I have to say I'm pretty happy with that criticism for a first mission. I'll take your thoughts into account, maybe I'll expand on the current mission or try something new. Thanks again for the feedback =D Oh, and by the way, you labeled your points "1,2,2,3,4." Just thought I'd point that out for ya.

Using the link in my previous post, underneath where it says "upload complete" it should say "Sniper.utes.pbo" in blue. Kronzky, Regarding your picture a few posts up...did you label that correctly? If I'm reading the chart right the M4A1 has more stopping power than the M24 at ranges past about 63 meters.

Hi, I just finished making a sniper level today. Now, I'd like to put it up to have someone test it out and see how it plays for a first timer, but I don't know how to upload it to a site or something? Basically, where do I find the file, and what do I do with it? After I get it up I'll post in the user missions so someone could test it out and tell me what they think. Thanks! EDIT: I think I found it actually... c/program/bohemia/arma2/missions "sniper.utes.pbo" Sound about right? Now that I have the file, what do I upload it to? I guess I'm asking what the 'favorite' site to upload to would be.

New to editing, a few questions

Hi, I'm having a problem with a huey...basically, here's what I want it to do. At the beginning of the mission, I'd like it to have the engine running, but still on the ground. How do I do this? It then loads some soldiers at base, that I can do, drops them off, again, I can still do this, but then I want it to return to base and land+shut off the engine. How can I make this happen? Next, I want the soldiers I mentioned earlier to sabotage some tanks and then move to an RHIB for exfil. Now, what triggers should I use between the waypoints where the soldiers destroy the tanks and then move to exfil? Also, with the RHIB, I want it to wait at a certain point until the tanks are destroyed, then move to pick up the troops...how would I go about that? I think that's all the questions I have for now...thanks!
