Oh, I'm not condemning BIS by any means. I will wait for how the handle DLC, and I will most likely buy it. :) Ye know, that's all I wanted to hear, really. You are completely right - Every single mod is splitting up "the community", since Operation Flashpoint. Don't have that addon? Can't join. Have that addon, the server does not? Can't join. (In most cases, anyway) It's a logical and quite simple way to handle it: Want to play with them and don't have the addons? Go get the mod. Want to play with them but have your own addons, possibly cheats? Get rid of them, at least for while you're playing on that server. Modfolders are a great way of doing that. All I want is BIS keeping it that way and making DLC -not- more complicated than any mod out there.

I don't know if you're just tired of the discussion, but I'd like it if you would not treat me like someone who posts "This will split zeh community zomg zomg DLC is balls, lol", since I didn't. Thank you. I posted that I'm willing to pay for DLC. I'm not saying that I have a solution for the splitting up the playerbase matter. I'm simply saying that BIS should at least -try- to make DLC as compatible as possible.

I don't mind DLC for ArmA and will most likely buy it - As long as the compability online is guaranteed. One thing they could really screw up is splitting the already not so gigantic (Judging by servers, correct me if I'm wrong) multiplayer community with DLC that won't work with people that only own the retail game. But I'm in a positive mood, so I'm willing to believe that BIS will not screw that up.

I know some things need a good GPU as well, but judging by his setup, his graphics card is already quite decent, enough to run ArmA II without any issues. His processor on the other hand is.. sadly not powerful enough. Even if it's a badass DualCore, I fear a QuadCore will simply outperform it. But those are expensive.

Sorry Celery, but that's just wrong. Upgrade your Processor, -that- will have the biggest effect on your performance. ArmA II is highly CPU-dependant, and upgrading to a QuadCore will make the biggest difference.

This mod is a grand victory for Flashpoint modding! Congratulations, once you finally set up the updater and the mod, updating is very easy and comfortable, and the mod itself is more than excellent. Haha, I agree, actually.

I use modfolders since the original Operation Flashpoint, so that shouldn't be the cause, but it -is- possible that I have simply made a mistake by accident. It's just strange that the updater seemed to have destroyed my game, since it worked fine before. There's no point in figuring out what went wrong though, I'm just going to start over.

First of all, congratulations on getting this far, Ace-Team. Well, I do have a problem, though. Only half of the features seem to work, the other half doesn't even react to it's keys. Also, I seem to be completely unable to download a working, full file of ACEX, and the updater won't download the full ACEX either. Can't get the server to work in the updater control panel either, as there is no list, and I have no idea what those servers could be, so I can't fill it in myself. The menu screen ingame is completely black, I can just barely notice some guy standing on something right when the game starts, and then it fades to complete darkness. Guess that's due to ACEX, though. What's even worse, my whole game turned to German! There is no voice-talk, most commands are gone, and I really don't know how to fix it. How can I turn my game back to English?

"When it's done" ? Don't worry though, we're not talking Duke Nukem Forever "When it's done" here. In addition: It should be set by the server, if we're talking multiplayer. One person running around with a crosshair and another without wouldn't be very fair, now would it? If we're talking singleplayer, yeah, should be optional.

And what is the answer to the possibility of no HK's in A.C.E 2? I'm not demanding anything, really, but the HK series are really popular rifles, many people use them, and in addition, they are a welcome change to the in my opinion overused M16/M4/M14 weaponry. I just really do hope that the HK family will find it's way into A.C.E 2 Used them whenever I had the chance to in A.C.E

I did as you said and doubled my nat session limit. It worked! I can finally connect to servers again. All servers that don't use a password and run on patch 1.03, in fact. Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it. :)

I'll have to agree with this. They've effectively broken my multiplayer with 1.03.

Alright. I don't have multiple computers in my house. I have a ZyXEL router, so I'd appreciate if you could show me where that function is. Also: How can I ping my router, or check if it's rebooting? I'd love to try that, but I just don't know how. :o

Well, thanks for the reply. I only have the router my ISP sent me between the connection itself and my computer. Are you really sure this is the issue though? When I was on XP, a few weeks ago, everything was fine. ArmA 2 worked, I could play it online, everything was fine. Then I switched over to Windows 7, installed 1.03, and it stopped working. My connection does shut down for a minute after I get the 'connection failed' error, but it worked fine under XP. Also, ArmA 2 is the only program with this issue. But since it worked fine when I was running XP, I doubt it's the router, really. I'm not running any torrents, by the way. As I said, I doubt it's the cause, but if you tell me in what category of my router menu this should be, I can give it a try.

Well, here's the problem: It doesn't matter which game I'm trying to join, but I will always get the 'connection failed' error. The strange thing is, that my whole internet connection kind of 'dies' for a minute after it showed me the 'connection failed' error ingame. Can't even use my browser or anything. I forwarded all necessary posts found on these forums, turned of all of my firewalls, even the router one, reset my Netsocket, and still, it won't work. I'm running Windows 7 Build 7100 The framerates are really juicy, now that I switched to Windows 7, and I'd like to enjoy these higher framerates in multiplayer. Any help or hints appreciated.

Well, doesn't seem like BI's looking at the problem, and I wasn't able to fix it yet. **** This is getting really annoying.

Well I'm having the exact same problem, and I wouldn't like to plug in my computer directly to the modem. Any other way?

I wasn't able to play any multiplayer game in ArmA 2 since this patch. Connection failed issue all over the place. I'm running Windows 7. So yeah, I'm the opposite of satisfied.

How about fixing the multiplayer for all of us that can't play online since 1.03, due to the goddamn 'connection failed' issue? Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Thank you BI.

Would BI look at the multiplayer problems, please? I'm getting really frustrated, nothing I could do fixed the 'connection failed' issue, now way I can play multiplayer now. And without multiplayer, ArmA 2 can go catch some dust on the shelve.
