Okay thanks, i think it must me a problem with a particular friend's internet connection as i opened ports etc. and he still cannot join (we have had problems with his connection in the past.)

I'm pretty new to this game and would just like to play with a few friends in an online server to get to grips with the game, but i can't seem to work it out. Whenever i host a game and my friend attempts to join he receives an error: 'Connecting failed' Apologies if this is a stupid question ! :o
