I have just completed the Helicopter mission where I was shot down. When I start the next mission I get a message "Task Failed: Locate The Pilot" and the mission ends in failure. I am stuck. Can anyone help?

I reverted the 05 mission and completed it again without being hit. I landed and it was all fine. Now the next mission works fine and strangely it have another name (06: Sandstorms). I suggest you try to revert the helicopter mission as well. Make sure you don't get damaged beyond flying capability and make sure you return to base. Since you said you did RTB perhaps you got damaged during the landing and the game assumed you bailed out. I hope it helps.

The game tends to crash 15-30 minutes after I join the server. The crash is simillar to singleplayer "save" crash. It crashes both on vista and 7. Has anyone else experienced this? Is my computer too slow? I have like 20-30 fps in the cities on a server with 32 players which is decent.

M136 is really useless. Its rocket takes 8 places in your backpack while SMAW takes only 2. M136 rocket can't even penetrate the APCs while 2 SMAW rockets destroy a tank.

Well obviously it will outsell Arma2. But that doesn't mean it is a better game. That only mean that the game is made for the "stupid" majority. What lesson can BIS learn? To make a crappy mainstream games instead of pure classics so that every moron will buy them?

Go to My Documents\ArmA 2\ and find the <your name>.cfg file. Make sure it is NOT on "Read-only". Now you should be able either to change it from the game or you can change the name of that .cfg files.

1) Switch from vista to win7. 2) Go to C:\Users\user\Documents\ArmA 2 (Other Profiles)\ and open <your name>.cfg. Find "sceneComplexity=;" and lower it. 3) A major drop of FPS is caused by a high view distance. Be sure you have it under 3000m.

Well I put arti module and I sync it with the MLRS. I get in as a gunner and I choose "target artillery" option from the scroll bar. The arti targeting map appears with some error message. I can't use the map like I can do with the M119 or mortar.

It is possible with 1.03 but it is pain in the arse. Far greater enemies are the "save" bugs and endless "receiving..." bugs than AIs tbh. :)

Original OFP is one of the best games ever made and it was made by BIS and not by codemasters. Arma2 is the real sequel of OFP so I will always go for stuff made by BIS.

Well I go to options/controls and I bind them then I press "ok" and when I go back to controls the keys are not binded. I have checked that profile.cfg is not on "read-only" too. Also it worked when I was playing on Vista (I have win7 now). Help please.

32 bit system can theoretically address 4,294,967,296 locations in RAM. So that is about 4GB.

In reality you will not get promoted during one single mission (which is normally played in MP servers), at least not more than one rank. So I think gaining multiple ranks during one mission is stupid. But you could get some medals yes.

Just fix: 1. Problems with game crashing in Multiplayer 2. Singleplayer save crash bugs 3. Endless "receiving..." bug Because you need to make game playable before fixing some cosmetics that are mantioned by OP.

Yes mate I do. I play max 30 minutes on server before I crash. This only happens in MP. It is simillar to the SP "save" crash. It is annoying. Normally I just get my first tank and it crashes.
