Hi...for days on end i'm trying to activate Ace2, Acex and CBa mod. I've followed the instructions, made @ACE map inside the root map of arma2. Inside the mod folder there's only one other folder named Addons. Inside that map I have my .pbo files. But where do I have to place the /key (binkey file) that comes with some of those mods? Do you have to copy and paste the key inside the KEY map of the root map? I also edited my shortcut so the game knows i'm using mods. Every online game I join I still get kicked for missing files and stuff...please help :)

I followed the instructions and now it's working well. Found a server, logged in, got the message that my version of Ace2 is old and that I need to upgrade to 01.186. I thought the Six Updater automaticly updated to the latest files?

Yea there seems to be something wrong with AA in this game..at least on my system. In some parts of the game i have AA enabled and in other parts of the game my AA seems to be gone. I'm using a 285 GTX and and Vista 64.

37 here. I grew up with games that needed imagination, now everything is shown to us almost photorealistic. I love it.

Funny..I still don't have any other option for my videa memory then low and normal. I'm using a GTX285, 64xVista, 8 gig, Quad 3 Ghz.

Well there's something wrong with the graphics thats for sure. Don't know who's to blame to be honest.

I had this weird problem where it looked like I if my AA and AF would'nt kick in. Sometimes my graphics looked great and in some other places it looked like crap. I was running this on 1680 x 1050. I've changed that to 1470 x 917 (22"). My game now looks great and plays great. Don't know what kind of FPS I have but if feels really smooth. But...I find it pretty weird to be honest.

The AA is not applied properly...i think i can confirm that.

I have AA settings on Low..you have it on 8. I think it's almost the same thing but on my system the Low setting works ok. I think I have done about 1 week of tweaking to get the best settings for my system. I really had a Love/hate relation with AA. Sometimes I had AA and in other places i just looked like your screenshot. Yesterday I managed to get the right settings and WITH AA. AA-mode = Override any appl. Antialiasing - 16xQ Aa-transparency - Multisampling (SuperS was TOO heavy) Max frames - 8 Text filt. Anisotroic sample - Off Text filt. Neg. Lod - Clamp Triple buff - On Vsync - Force On My visiblity is around 3450. Tex detail and Vid memory are Normal Post proc - High (I like it in this game) Ground detail - Very low The rest is all on Very High. Quad, 3,00, 8 Gig Ram, 285GTX, Vista 64x

Thanks...the game itself is....awesome. Can't remember a title with the same replayability. I think I have the perfect setting for my system now. I will look further into that Nvidia thread. Now the only thing I wish for is a good and simple basic instruction guide about HOW to make a scenario. For example; I have 3 Squads and they all have to go to the same waypoint..how do I do that? Right now i'm making 3 different waypoints. But that's another topic.

Mine shows something like below. I use these settings in a Read-Only config. In-game I set my AA to Low. But to be honest, I don't know what VRAM I have to use for my 285. A little further testing. Don't like my own idea anymore because in a distance it's too blurry. But now I changed Tripple buffering On and Force Vsync On. Now I have the blur I want and the sharpness. Still my Texture detail and Video Memory High settings are nowhere to be found.

I remember that the default setting was the one i'm using now. Texture detail and Video memory options are on NOrmal. I don't have any High or Very High settings to choose from. Running this game on a GTX285.

I'm running this game on a x64Vista Quad system, 8GigRam and 285GTX. I noticed most of you are talking about high settings when it comes to TExture detail and Video memory. I only have two settings...Low and Normal. I don't see any higher settings. Where can I change them into High? I've been tweaking this game more then i played it. Please help me understand.

Right folks..thanks. Yea it's not really bad looking in Normal. Altho there's something not quite right with the graphics. Don't know exactly what it is but sometimes my textures won't load and the skins look like dirt...It happens a lot when i'm moving into towns.

I think i have the latest patch. I'm playing this game through Steam. I've tried all kinds of different configs mentioned by others, still I can't see anything better then low and Normal. I didn't knew that...thanks for the answer. In that case i'm waiting for a fix. The rest of my games look and play awesome. I"m not prepared to roll back just to access those settings. Can anyone confirm? Is this a driver issue?

I've seen a lot of people asking the same question in different threads but noone seems to know the answer. The game still looks nice but somehow I have the idea that i'm missing something. I'm on 186.18 drivers. Isn't there a way to access those settings trough the config files?
