Where are the notes? I only see this sparse bit:

On blufor I usually grab the M4A1 with ACOG scope and M203 grenade launcher. Yeah it's kind of cliche, but the gun is just so adaptable. I can pick infantry off at long range, or participate in CQB in dense city areas. The grenade launcher even helps with taking out light trucks and groups of infantry. It's just such a versatile weapon, at almost any range and against any target that isn't armored. On OPFOR I tend to favor the PKP machine gun, again for it's versatility. It's not super accurate at long distances, but it gets the job done at medium-short range. It's easy to control your fire and only pop off single shots, or you can hit the dirt and go full auto if the need arises. Versatility is king.

Warfare = Airport
Noble replied to KrilionGD's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
That sounds like a pretty integral component of Warfare mode. I mean, it doesn't break the game mode by any means, but it's weird that it got left out. I'm going to try and come up with a work around for this over the weekend, even if I just have to edit the superpowers mission and plunk empty, respawning planes down on the map. That won't be nearly as cool though since money won't come into play. -

What I would like is for the Air fields that are scattered around the map to be capturable. That way fixed wing craft would be a resource to fight over in-game. Is there any way to set this up? -
Who the F*** put number2 in charge ?

Perhaps number 2 has an inordinately high rank set? -
I've found that when playing in Warfare mode, the menu that is used to purchase equipment and units lags quite a bit. This can take two noticeable forms. 1) When clicking on an item to purchase it, I have to wait ten seconds or more before the item appears in my inventory. This makes purchasing ammunition very tedious as I have to click the item, wait several seconds, and then repeat that until I have all my mags and grenades and such. 2) The menu often takes several seconds to populate with a list of available items and units for purchase. This problem is worse on some menus than on others. The infantry unit menu, for instance, populates relatively quickly (still not instantaneously though) while the helicopter buy menu will sit on "Receiving data..." for a minute or more before the list is populated. Sometimes toggling back and forth between the different unit purchase lists will cause them to populate faster. Sometimes this just makes the problem worse. The rest of the game is not lagging when this happens. Everything else is rendering smoothly, so I'm fairly sure this isn't a performance issue. Has anyone else encountered this? I didn't find a thread on it after trawling through the troubleshooting forum, and it's not in the known issues list.

Ah that makes sense, thanks man. :)

I'm new too, and I'm curious about how targeting works. I'm starting to think it's a function of the difficulty level chosen. I've noticed that when you go from "Regular" to "Veteran", many of the HUD icons and graphics are taken away. For instance, in Veteran I can't see my waypoints indicated outside of the map, nor can I see my squad icons without selecting the actual members. Given all that, I imagine the difficulty level is taking the red target indicators away as well. Perhaps on the higher difficulty you have to simply go on "Man X Meters North!" or "enemy car southwest of novy sobor!".
